I was about eighteen years old and participited in this demonstration against "Hejab". All the other women and I were attacked by these horrible, rude and wild men by sticks and had to jump from a high bridge to scape from them. We young wemen of that generation knew that the religion was going to change every thing for us and lose our rights. This was just a minor problem. there were so many unfair, unfortunate and unjustice still going to happpen to poor Iiranian wemen. VERY UNFAIR!

Very nice story. Thanks for sharing with us. You & your friends were so correct that time. Women now in Islamic regime can not even take their scarves off for a minute or else they will be beaten/arrested/fined/flogged, etc. Even they measure the length of their covers (maanto) to make sure it is not short! Even in the movies that they make, women must go to bed with covers and scarves and sleep that way! So much rights they have!
