great i bought a scwheizer 300 around a week ago..only prob is the nimh battery it dont last long,it flys really good for a 2 channel...
ppl dedicate on trimming it...i spent 2 days playing with the potentiometer to get it right dont twist it from side to side, do it in small, very small amounts...
I got one to , and it leans back and left lol, and its my first RC heli, can someone plz explain what it means to trim a heli, and tell me how!?!? It will be greatly appreciated. TY :D
if it leans to the right dw about it all helicopters do that but if its spinning like nuts just keep triming it bit by bit till it works, not saying it will fix it but it might
I just bought one too and i've got the same problem with the control. An i found the reason. The Problem is that if you want to turn it left it turns right and opposit. Try to hold it while another person takes Control. You will see i'm right. You can modify the Control to fix this problem. Just mail me if you got further questions
Yes, i discovered the same problem today on my Syma Dragonfly. The RC-control is vice versa than a 4ch-heli (it's confusing enough to find the gain-control on the right stick x-). What did you do? Changing the cables in the RC-Controller??
And my battery seems to be not OK! I can only fly 40-60 seconds, than it go slowly down and i must wait one minute to fly again... for the next 40-60 seconds.
I am replaced my old, faulty 7.2V 650mAh, NiMh-Battery with a new 7.4V, 850mAh-LiPo-pack and everything works fine! Now i need more weight in the nose, because the LiPo-battery has less wight (but much more power) than the old NiMh-battery.
Only disadvantage is, that the LiPo-battery cost almost so much than the complete Dragonfly, but if you have already a LiPo-balancer to charge it, it is worthy the costs.
I´m brazilian guy and I watched your video before buy my Dragonfly. Today was my first flight. I think that my problem was the same of minimotu (in your comments). I can not control the flight direction that I want. Could you help me? The adjustment of the trim (potentiometer)could solve this problem? Thank you !!!
- There were a little little bit of wind, the heli went to the wind direction...

Did you moddify yours somehow? I have one of these and I cant make it do what yours was doing. Mine just goes in one direction and i cant make it turn to go a different way. It just goes straight away from me and spins....Aug. What did you do to yours?
Not sure what a df2 is - I can't find it on google - but it probably uses the same gear as the other Syma helis. No problem to fly as long as you trim it - it's only 2 channel so you won't get anything like the same level of control but by the same token it's not half as difficult to fly! Join our group - RC Helicopters - you never know it might start to get used a bit more...
do not buy this helicopter!!! it suck..! it doesn`t help you in getting better to fly a 4ch if thats what you guys think!! buy a 4ch chopper like walkera 4# instead! trust me guys.. IT SUCKS!!!!!
What size or weight washer would suggest to give ballast to the nose? I am prepared to try your method of trimming the tail rotor,as the potentiometer is a complete waste of time if you ask me.
I put a 1 inch diamter washer on mine. If you tape it on you could try different sizes or maybe 1 or 2 until you get something that works for you. The heavier the weight the faster it will fly.
Thanks for that advice,as soon as I get mine back in the air (it went for a swim only recently, I am awaiting new parts for it from China) I will endeavour to try the new methods.
If you've trimmed it with the potentiometer on the control board and it's still not right (very likely) try cutting 1/4 inch off each blade of the tail rotor. It woked for me but I can't guarantee anything. If you're not sure start with a smaller amount and work up. That should stop it spinning. Next to get decent forward flight tape a washer or similar in the front of the cabin. Have a look at my website for other tips - and if you've got any more let me know!
wow you perfected trimming your rc!

dont bother trying to fly it inside you need a lot of space and its very durable as well so its hard to damage it
