Michio Kaku is a great Theoretical Physicist but at times he comes across as a bit of a fantasist. I dont think one can speculate with certainty the technological capabilities of advanced alien civilisations, however as for us becoming a 'Type 1' civilisation i think he's right in so far as the examples he gave. Michio Kaku is a great Theoretical Physicist but at times he comes across as a bit of a fantasist. I dont think one can speculate with certainty the technological capabilities of advanced alien civilisations, however as for us becoming a 'Type 1' civilisation i think he's right in so far as the examples he gave.
