  • this sounds like a promo for the new fall tv shows on ABC from 1970

  • Did all the BANANA SPLITS songs make it to vinyl record albums?

  • I never really watched the Banana Splits that much, but I actually remembered this song and clip from over 20 years ago, and I looked it up and found it. Yay me!

  • Who exactly sings this song? Artist or Group please?

  • Been looking for this song with this video for a while. Take me back down memory lane to my childhood. A very pretty place.

  • Dune buggies!

  • GREAT TUNE...FINALLY FOUND!!! thank you for posting!!!!!

  • Beautiful song. Love the Banana Splits.

  • Romantic....

Mickey and Minnie would be in Heaven to listen to that song!!! This is a good song....

    *sigh* ......and it's lovely.

  • @Yugi40 Mickey and Minnie Mouse?

  • @67nairb Sure! You know, the king and queen of Walt disney world? Remember that? I have dreams of being in the magic kingdom.

  • @67nairb How could I think otherwise. Though I don't see why the Banana Splits belonged in this romantic video.

  • @67nairb Well, there is other romance songs in disney you know.

  • @Yugi40 Well alot of the BANANA SPLITS songs were love songs. Even if the Splits themselves had no girlfriends, or had no interest in girls. Was this video from the BANANA SPLITS' first season, 1968-69?

  • @67nairb You could say that. I mean, I've been in the magic kingdom 3 whole times!

  • @Yugi40 I've been there four times. I wonder if Walt Disney grew jealous of the big success of Hanna-Barbera and other made for tv cartoons or saw them as threat. Even if the Hanna-Barbera cartoons were produced in limited animation, they were certainly overshadowing Disney and other theatrical cartoons in the era of television.

  • @67nairb It doesn't matter, 'cause they're both successful for many years!

  • @Yugi40 You're right 'cause Walt Disney pictures is still in business for about 90 years and is still churning out animated movies and some cartoon shorts while Hanna-Barbera has been defunct sine 2001.

  • @67nairb Exactly!! That's why both companies are great! Speaking of disney, I'm going there this october.

  • @Yugi40 Walt Disney died in 1966 at the tender age 65. But his company has been in business for about 90 years. William Hanna died in March of 2001 at the ripe old age of 90 and his partner Joseph Barbera died in December of 2006 at the ripe old age 95. But their company only lasted for 44 years.

  • @67nairb Ahhh! Now I understand about both companies!

  • I've been trying to find this song for YEARS. Thank you!

  • This is a good song for all you lovers out there.
