it was a very basic explaination and did not exactly show card realationships within a spread to each other, but it was not incorrect.

For example you define an issue with the major arcana, the minor arcana can help you define what steps to take or more in depth of what surrounds the grounds of the issue depending what number itis and what spread position it is in.
