I was lucky enough to see them live at St. Olaf College in ... I am guessing now, but 94 or 95 ... They were great! Still looking for Glen Phillip's slippers ... ;)
Without a doubt, this tune captures the true beauty of this planet's oceans. This is resplendent poetry at its very best. I dedicate this song to anyone who has sailed the seas (military or merchantmen).
I think this should have been the album mix instead of the other way around....it was great how they picked up on the ending and continue the song and fade it out
thanks for the flashback :) i used to love listening to this song, fresh outta h.s. and trying to stay outta trouble with the parking lot gang.. ((sigh)) good times!

@JoeNJ1 Yes...but in more limited quantities. Most A&M and CBS/Columbia artists still had releases on vinyl through about 1995. Then, I believe both companies were either merged or folded into SONY or BMG and they stopped 45rpm production to tighten margins.
" I love this song. Everytime I hear it it makes me smile and relaize how grateful I am to have the love and support of family and not blood family but heart family. There is a difference in the two trust me I know."
I think that good music is out there, but it's hard to find behind all this crap that's shoved down our throat's by these big music companie's. I don't know anything really about how talent is found by these Co's, but it seem's to me that they just want a pretty face and maybe a little bit of a voice. Even then it's just one song, maybe two and that person is a star?? What happened to the day's when you could put on an album(yes, I said ALBUM) and EVERY song was freekin great?
unknown hidden talent is a joke. the "talent" being looked for is the next disney dancer who has peaked in talent with the disney dancers. i have a several local bands that are dynamite but no one will come to hear them play. they arent -commercial- enough to sell 2 million records the first cd out. but i remember bands like faith no more got better each album.
@zemguitarist All I Want was the b-side. Actually, All I Want charted first and debuted on 6/27/92 and peaked at #15 on the pop chart, #8 on the airplay chart.
nice job on the conversion to digital, it sounds really warm and great!

I'll probably never see them again, unfortunately...

I had the 45 record at one time. I loved the flipside of this record, but I don't remember the title of the song. Does anybody know what it is?
