i'm goin to this tomorrow. bit skeptical i hope i can find cheap hard drives for laptops that are eide. my buds laptop was one of those dell that had a vista with horrible components. had 256mb mem. and 100gb hard drive. it sux. tookc are of memory. just need more hard drive. wish me luck ^.^
Yes, your correct! The 1000's of people you see in this video was about 4-8 years ago. They are now begging for customers. The computer fair will die soon. No one wants to pay $8 to enter the show and $10 for parking either. This video was only true 4-8 year ago. From 2 buildings, down to 1. A lot of the sellers spots are empty. I don't go any more.
Same here... it used to be a great place to find deals, but for the past few years there have been less and less of the larger dealers, and the ones that are left have prices comparable to Frys; except you have to pay entrance and parking!
Not such a good deal anymore!
They have gone from 2 packed buildings to 1 sparse building sometimes with only three isles of vendors, instead of four like "the good old days".
What you negative commenters never recognized is that these are mostly local stores and vendors. The prices on the internet can't compare to the locals selling at the computer fair. Find a 1 TB drive for under $90 Find an HP w2408 monitor for $225 on the internet. People aren't chasing technology like they used to. I buy 100 Silver printable to the hub CD's for $12.95. Show me that site. Sams Club $18.95. I will continue to use those vendors who continue to show up I recommend the show
I dropped my annual membership to this years ago since they raised the rents to the vendors most of my favorite vendors stopped coming. The others had to reduce the size of their booth in order to still exhibit. I am truly disappointed that my once favorite place for computer shopping will soon be gone because of the prices they charge their vendors and the attendees.
There are places in China with a computer swap meet every day (7 days a week). Many large cities have several of these swap meets going on at once. Here in Southern California we have one that is 50 miles away every 6 weeks and it's too much. There doesn't seem to be much interest in this show anymore. I think on-line shopping has reduced the need for such events.

The shots they're showing you are from at least 4~5 years ago. I've been going since the show started. It has gone from 2 buildings to one and now they can't even fill one building! The last two times I've gone (mid-2008 and March, 2009) the show was pretty dead. NO LINES to get in like a few years ago, no crowds and worst, NO GREAT DEALS anymore!.
I asked a few of the long-time sellers and all agreed that the show was close to dying off.

To both previous commenters, it says in the video description that this was filmed in June 2003 (which is why it's hilariously out of date).
Also to the guy saying "no-one wants to pay $8 to enter the show", on their website it says it's now $10 to enter.
