@kokorosenshi It was a problem with the first Wii releases from Nov-Dec 2006. Nintendo recalled the scraps and made stronger ones. Since they did that, you know for a fact that there was a problem. But yeah since then, I haven't heard of any stories like that, only the people that play it without the scrap.

Nintendo recalled the straps. They had a place on their site, where you would just say how many controllers you had, and they will send free stronger straps to you. I don't know how if they still do that as this was 2 years ago, but you should still try maybe. But yeah, Nintendo is kick ass at doing that, as they realized the problem. And now the problem doesn't happen very often anymore for everyone.

I'll admit I have thrown my Wii Remote during gaming, as well as the Nunchuck controller, but the Wrist Strap made it bounce back, and plus my main Remote has the Jacket on, so I can play safer with it. I don't use the Nunchuck as much, because it's mostly pointless unless you own Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games
