I just can't believe people would respect Joel Osteen more than the thousands of missionaries who go to third world countries every year to help the less fortunate out and spread the gospel.

When I first noticed Joel on the tube when I was flipping through the channels, I thought, "Oh no, here we go again. Another blowhard fundalmentalist preacher. Just what we need.".....................but that was before I decided to give him a chance. Then I realized how genuine, motivating and positive he is.  Now I'm a faithful watcher of his show every week. What I especially like is how you don't have to be a fundalmentalist Christian to appreciate him (I'm Catholic). God bless him.

I"m concerned that due to preaching part truths and NOT the WHOLE TRUTH that many who believe they are going to heaven are not, Look to the Lord YESHUA not man. I have listened to many of his sermons and im sorry if this offends yall but I am just letting you know what the lord opened my eyes to. I dont doubt that Joel is a good person but that does not make him a good pastor. Joel does not preach Jesus crucified he is a prosperity pastor. Have you guys seen his intreview with Larry King. It was so sad Larry knew more about Jesus and salvation then Joel. He is what we call a feel good pastor. I use to watch him but one night the lord opened my husbands and my eyes about Joel. He never mentioned JESUS OR SALVATION, at first we were like what the and then the next night we were watching again and same thing NO JESUS NO SALVATION PREACHING. SO SO SAD..

Joel Osteen is blessed by God to draw many to Him. I have witnessed that first hand because I attended Lakewood Church when I used to live in Texas. If anything drew me back to Houston, it would be Joel Osteen's Church. One of my adult kids still attends that church. If you haven't met Joel personally, or attended Lakewood personally, don't judge what you have yet to experience.

1.how can people get saved when he tells people about the "money gospel" and rarely uses the bible and when he does he twist it and take it out of context,

2. If this gospel he preaches is true, why then is there starving kids in africa? Shouldn't they be living the "abundant life" and free from hunger and poverty.

3. Why are there believers who are poor? Why is it that a homeless person that prays to Christ still homeless.
