It seems like vox is doing with satch what Dunlop/MXR did with zakk wylde(signature line of pedals for fans to collect) except they seem to be WAY better pedals

Since Joe was using a much cleaner channel on the JSX, than what he is now using with the Marshalls, the Satchurator's high gain was what he needed for his sound. He probably needed a lower gain petal for the Marshalls, and since necessity is the mother of invention, VOX wiped out a lower gain petal for Joe to use with the Marshalls. Slight change, quick marketing. All my humbled opinion of course.

Hey ya all, new audio clips with Ice 9 are now posted on the VOX site. These were done through a clean amp using, Strat, Tele, Les Paul, PRS, and Virage axes.

Question: If there is a ice 9 overdrive pedal, then whats the satchurator? i got a satchurator but i should've waited for this shit cause the satchurator isnt all that great

Two questions: How transparent is the pedal in boosting the driven (rhythm lead) channels of a tube amp? Is it anything like a Pork Loin OD, TS9, or Danelectro? How much will it cost in the U.S.?

It's even cooler in person. What's hard to see in the video is that it's got a subtle metallic flake in the white paint. It looks like ice!

wow looks cool!! but it makes me wonder how different it wil sound to the satchurator' and if as good' also makes me wonder if it is a "less gain" version of the satchurater' im very curious..

Hey Danny,

It's very different than the Satchurator. It's huge sounding, extremely warm, and has its own bass control. Also, it has two different modes of OD. Joe "custom tailored" the range of the tone knobs to make the whole pedal more functional than traditional pedals. I'm looking forward to running both the Satchurator AND the Ice 9 on my pedal board. Hope this helps.

Satchurator was too much for songs like AWMAWY in which he used the Boss DS-1....Clearly this is a necessity to any guitarists Rig...at least thats what he told me last night...lol
