  • mate great vid :) do you have any tips on winter river fishing - baits etc? cos i cant seem to catch a thing in winter

  • @TheBrogers1 Hi, in winter on rivers we tend to trot or feeder fish maggots in slower water. However if you want barbel chub, use big lumps of luncheon meat or halibut pellets wrapped in paste in the powerful deeper parts of the river.

  • @HookedOnFishing000 that's great, cheers :)

  • Hi guys, this is a new channel made to bring you the best match fishing advice, tips and footage possible, Id love if you could come check us out and maybe even subscribe, Thanks

    - Jim

  • @MatchFishingVideos We will take a look :)

  • you guys are inspirational, im 15 myself, fishing for leeds juniors, and you guys really help me, and responding to your post, would be funny to have bloopers and stuff! tight lines

  • @TheFisher2011 Cool cool, thanks for the nice comment!

  • Alex at the end - Lololol soo funny :)

  • @MythixMatty Haha, glad you liked it. One question though, do you recon that our videos would be better and more enjoyable to watch if we had more funny things in them like bloopers, mistakes and joking around scenes? Or do you prefer the more serious side of things.

  • @HookedOnFishing000 messing around is more entertaining (:

  • @4point5Wide Cool, we recon we will show more of the funny bits in our videos then!

  • Great video gents, hope 2012 brings you many big fish ;-)

  • @dipstizel Thank you very much!

  • Can you give me any tips on some simple feeder fishing ?

  • @ORIGINOLINDIVIDUAL On lakes try and have your rod tip close to the water at a little less than 90degrees from the feeder. (so you are halfway between a right angle and pointing the rod at the feeder) Clip your line up so that you are casting to the same spot everytime. If you are casting to an island, tighten up really slowly to make sure you don't dislodge the feeder and make it fall down the far marginal slope.

  • @ORIGINOLINDIVIDUAL If on a cadge feeder and you know there are fish in your swim feeding but your not catching them, try lifting the rod slightly and dragging the feeder back a few inches to pull your hooklenth into the pile of groundbait. If the bites tail off, try casting a rod length or two past the baited area as the fish may have backed off the feed. When fishing for bream land you feeders in a slightly larger area, as a big shoal of bream need to feed over a wide area

  • @ORIGINOLINDIVIDUAL hope this helps, if not just keep watching our videos, we are bound to say a tip or two in them! :)

  • Hey nice vid! oh yeh and im starting to make some vids and wanted to ask you what you use to edit and publish your videos in, many thanks, jake.

  • @WyldCarpAndCoarse we edit with adobe premier elements 9. But are hoping to upgrade to premier pro soon.

  • @HookedOnFishing000 ok thanks! i will have to look at that!

  • Thankyou for the help and sorry if i have been awkward or difficult

  • @Agamemnon95 haha, don't worry. :)

  • I might aswell just give up fishing as i have made many attempts to get in magazines but have failed and i have never caught my target fish, i rarely catch fish of a decent size even though i do use proper tactics and bait, its so irritating, i'm not trying to be difficult i'm only asking for your advice and help

  • @Agamemnon95 That's a real shame, first of all check with locals that you venue does hold quality fish. There is no point persevering at a pond if in reality it holds very few fish. Once you find a venue, look up tactics+rigs+baits. Then fish for them. If still you have very little luck try prebaiting before fishing to make sure there are fish in your swim. If nothing else works simply practice. And as for not getting in magazines, try making vids! It's free and easy!

  • You wont be geting as much work as me and as hard as mine though and that makes things tougher for me then they seem or you think

  • @Agamemnon95 Well surely you should be getting on with that then rather than going on YouTube?

  • I'm not trying to be funny here i'm just expressing how i feel, seeing people doing well when i'm just a no-body

  • What about those people like me though who have always dreamed of getting where you are by getting sponsors and meeting famous fishermen and by becoming well known, but just dont have the time to do so because college work is getting in the way, what then, it makes me feel sad just to think how unlikely it will be that i will ever get there.

  • @Agamemnon95 Ok. I am also at school still and work is a bore. But I work hard to get homework done the day it's set and finish projects early so that I have time for editing/filming/fishing at least one time a week. If you want to get sponsored and meet famous fishermen you have to at least put some effort in. And you clearly have time to go on YouTube and look at videos so why not time to go fishing/make a video/try and get in a magazine.

  • @Agamemnon95 Alternatively, start a fishing club at college. I'm at Durham University and I founded the angling society there. That will at least give you something to build on if you want to start publicising fishing. Don't take it out on these boys, considering how young they are they do a fantastic job with the videos and articles and quite frankly deserve the attention and rewards that they get.

  • When i say the sun shines on you i mean you get all the fame and glory and everything is just brilliant for you as your the ones who have been magazines, the ones who have had the best times ever and this video just rubs in our faces, my point is, try not to boast about things because were not all as lucky as you are.

  • @Agamemnon95 Ah, yes. I see what you mean, we are very lucky but even lucky people like us have to put an awful lot of effort and time to get where we are now. Anyone could do what we have done. Honest. Just put in the effort and time. And i was not trying to boast at all, just highlight the bits of 2011 which we have enjoyed and made us happy.

  • @Agamemnon95 you haven't posted a single video! how can you just sit there and say the world's against you? you're certainly not gonna become a celebrity automatically if you haven't done anything

  • @TheBrogers1 No one asked for your advice, i dont even know who you!?

  • @TheBrogers1 Well you are clearly against me!!

  • @TheBrogers1 With respect i simply havent had the time to do any videos because i get fuck loads of work to do from my college and i dont have enough time, especially considering i have had loads of exams recently, so how on earth would you expect that i would have the time to make a video!?

  • @Agamemnon95 thats fine and i understand and sympathise with that. i just think you can't really attack Carl and Alex just because they are where you want to be. i'm not against you.

good luck with the rest of your exams etc.

    tight lines mate

  • @Agamemnon95 You clearly are against me, otherwise you wouldnt have had a go at me in the first place !?!?!?!

  • @Agamemnon95 i'm not, it's just your comments initially sounded quite harsh and rude, but i understand your situation.

  • Well the sun just shines on you doesent it

  • @Agamemnon95 not always. Quite alot of the time it's raining when we fish.

  • @Agamemnon95 hey you're just being reallly immature. even if they have been lucky to be where they are, that does not mean that you have been totally hard done by. if you just put a bit of effort in, why should your chances be any lower than theirs?

  • Well Done Guys, Gr8 Video. Really Enjoy Your Videos.

  • @WDACSimonN haha, thanks!
