I have one in my 75 gallon and he eats frozen foods too. But I worry in the long run if he needs copepods or not!

If it eats enough frozen it will be fine. Make sure you are feeding it a fully body food like mysis or other, not brine. I feed mine rods food which has a mix of all sorts of junk. The mandarin basically eats it out of my hand now. Your tank should have pods it can hunt and is much larger overall than mine. My mandarin would not survive without frozen, it eats every other day with the rest of my fish.

Yea thats what I usally feed him, Mysis Shrimp. Sometimes I make chum for all my fish with krill, shrimp , silversizes and mysis and they love it. I bought one of your mediabasket and I cant wait for it. Thanks
