@Pistolleta You are completely wrong. Because of those shift lights you dont have to look at the rev counter which is enven more lower that those lights. So it actually helps you keep your eyes on the road.

I for one would switch that function of instantly. if your a real car enthusiast you don't need lights to tell you when your engine is revving at what rpm lol... you hear it, you feel it. Besides that light would be distracting as all hell. no idea how it could pass road worthy.

@sly180sx I was speaking of the wheel being built for racing. Also, the M3 was designed to go fast, consistently, around a RACE track known a the Nordschleife. It was designed to race. It will obviously be beaten by real race cars like a 458 challenge and a GT3RSR, but those are completely different cars.  And by the way, you look like a fucking tool with your wannabe guido hair and glasses. I'd also recommend revisiting your third grade English class.

@Shoryuken4u you need to differentiate between practicality and wank factor. comparing an F1 RACE BREAD engineering vs a road "performance" vehicle really shows how stupid u r. The idea is old. and it shouldn't have been implemented in a road vehicle. just to prove to you how much wank it is. RPM throttling / regulating is performed in cornering. when u corner those lights will turn with the wheel and end up near your lap.. wank factor? i think yes. ur a idiot? i think yes.

@Shoryuken4u p.s if you find an F1 driver who actually looks at the RPM LED's to assume their corner speed and make decisions from it etc. i then guarantee you they are shit drives and don't come anywhere near the top 10. racing is about the feel. there are enough variables to keep down packed to be competitive. and not looking at LED's.

@ulqin2008 Most likely set that way just for the video, so it will be able to show the demo, without necessarily revving to high. It can be set it anything.

@Hidezepickle Perhaps its not set in sport mode, not because it's not in gear.

Usually, road driving modes, on even the fastest of super cars, recommend shifting at low revs to save fuel, and well, because it does not have to perform incredibly in heavy city traffic.
