Too many variables known and unknown. Small mic differences and directions, players bias, what aspect of sound is not reproduced in the recording. The pearl sounds distant and I think it may have been farther away from the mic.
Kiko Candelaria is an old friend of mine. I have one of his seamed silver headjoints and I prefer it over my Dana Sheridan and Haynes. Kiko is one of Asia's best kept flute secrets, but I think he won't be a secret for long:-)
