I had never heard of Seasick Steve until my mom and I got chiggers from peeing in the woods in the hills of West Virginia. So I thought Hey eveything is on You Tube so I will look up some good home remedies to fix us up. I typed in Chiggers and up popped Steve. Needless to say we kept scratchin' and diggin' and jammin' with steve !

I think standard country tuning, possibly open D? His guitars all use the same tuning but two of them have only 3 strings. The rest are much nicer.

G-G-D-G-B-e, tune the low E up 3 semitones and the 'A' down 2 semitones. The 3 string only has the E-G-B strings (in classic tuning) tuned to the tuning above so it will be G-/-/-G-B-/. Hope that helps.
