Why Crysis dont run smoothly on my system:

2GB DDR2 667 Mhz

GForce 250 GTS

Win XP

I play with high settings on 1024x768, without AA. It looks ok but i can't play smoothly.

Can someone help me? Give me some good tips?

I have a Galaxy GTS 450 GC version and i love it. Wouldn't recommend on getting the Super OC version (the stronger of the two GTS 450's) because the GC version has a great overclock so you can get it up to the same speeds as the Super OC. GC version also has quiet fan and I got it for 130 bucks (usually $150). Overall beats the ATI 5770, and is $50 cheaper. Overall it's an awsome card, much better than the gts 250

we have almost the same pc specs and now im lookin at buying this card. i was thinkin about a 5670 though. i haven't seen someone play this on very high with an ACTUAL HD resolution so i'm unsure. i can settle for all high settings at 1280x720 at least. but i really would like it to be up to 1280x1024 with no AA(i don't care much for AA if it disrupts performance) and i just ask that it runs crysis at 20fps or better. looks like it surpasses my expectations, but the 5670's?

I would only get this card if your gonna be playing at a low resolution, it's perfect for that but can sometimes lack at a higher res (1920x1200, ect.)

It's normal, since a 7950GX2 isn't fast as a 8800GTX, so the 8800GTX isn't faster than a 9800GTX ++ that is slower than GTS 250 1GB xD

Depends on what parts you're talking. In hardware i spent +/- 700€ in the total, and my case is a lego custom case that I did.

So... Crysis in D3D10 has a loss of 10-15 fps comparing to DirectX 9, and adds almost nothing to visual quality. So, if you have a DX10 card, please, RUN the games on DX9 !!!!

i have a solution for you, is not the easiest way, but is the best: Reinstall your Operating System and update all drivers, and install the latest DirectX version, and all goes to normal. Also, if the problem does not disappear, enter the BIOS and put all settings to default.

Ok, first of all, the only reason he is getting good fps is because he is using windows xp, and windows xp cant run dx10 or 11. if you're using vista or windows 7, you're most likely playing in dx10, therefore less frames per second.

Could you give-me you processor model and amount of memory do you have ?

To view wich processor do you have, click with right mouse button on "My Computer" or "Computer" (it depends wether you have Windows XP or Vista or Seven), then select "properties" and then look at processor brand and model and amount of RAM you have.
