I couldn't even focus on what he was actually saying because of how many times he said "uhh". He said it so much it almost seems like it was a planned joke.
Haha he is like uhhh it has less snow accumulation and uhhh let's me pass better and uhhh I'm to lazy to tape my damn hockey stick so I slap this 10 dollar shit on and uhh last like 2 games so uhh yea try bladetape. UHH HE'LL NO I RATHER PAY 3 bucks and that last uhh almost forever soo uhh why does he have black on his forehand and white on backhand that's double gay!!!!!
you can tease him for the "uh"'s all you want, but after you listen to football (european football, not that shit u yanks call football) players give interviews.... lets just say that composit accumulation and friction are just not in their vocab.
In actuality, we've found that BladeTape is even more ideal for roller hockey and have had many Elite teams use our product. We are currently partnered with NIHA, Tour Cup Series, State Wars, and OMRHA to provide their players with BladeTape!
Empirical data from our own studies has shown that the absence of tape on the bottom of the stick does not significantly alter stability of the blade.
In fact, if you still use a wood stick, we have anecdotal evidence to suggest that traditional cloth tape is actually more damaging to the blade because of its intrinsic hydro-static properties that keeps moisture locked in.
Stick tape inevitably gets wet during a game (ice builds up, melts and then gets trapped in the weaving of the cloth tape). This means that the blade is in direct contact with water and moisture for a prolonged period. As you can imagine, this likely leads to degradation of the blade's integrity. BladeTape on the other hand repels ice and water, so your blade will remain dry after your game.
More than likely, for composite blades the damage would have occurred exactly the same when you are using cloth tape, BladeTape or nothing at all. Conventional wisdom says that traditional cloth tape helps protect the blade, but a thin single layer of cloth does not provide the most solid protection.
If you are still concerned about this, many of our users have reported in trying to put a strip of cloth tape on the bottom of the blade and fasten it down using our BladeTape.
I have to say...sorry endorsement. Tape Friction on the ice? Are you serious? Maybe Wil oils his blades before he hits the ice too...for less friction. Does he sell the oil too? Ha Ha Ha. Oh man...this is like a hockey infomercial. WHAT A SHLOAD. $10 for for two strips (forehand and backhand). Please tell me people don't actually buy this stuff. You can buy 3-4 rolls of tape in the proshop for that. Maybe I should come out with SPECIAL SOCK TAPE. Yeah...that's it. $15 per application.
yea i must say i dont see this being any better than tape when it comes to all around game play (shooting/passing/stick handleing) but it is def excellent for individual skills like scooping the puck, michigans, stuff like that. more for roller hockey if you ask me tho
ive uhh and umm uh ,hahah its just part of the job i guess ,i use it and i think it works great, guys man up ,so what if your stick loses the paint job on THE PART THAT NOBODY SEE'S,really though guys ,i would sacrifice looks for preformance ANY day
god damn. he is just like every other hockey player. now dont get me wrong i have a lot of respect for these guys (the way they train, play) but every fucking sentence "yah uhhh and umm but ehhh and ummmmm"
this stuff sucks i tried it and it all peeled off so i tried it again, didnt notice any difference really, it sucks. The tacki-mack grips for the upper part are wicked though, mine lasted a full season pretty much.
Try Puck Magnet grit tape. It grabs the puck because the grit fits into the dimples along the outside of a puck. The puck goes exactly where you aim it on both forehand and backhand shots without rolling along blade first. Also completley waterproof and super durable. Sells for $9.99 I think in Toronto.
wow i hated it when i used it, it ripped so fast. only lasted about 7 times, and the bottom of your sticks wear so fast cause youre not supposed to put anything on it. DON'T buy this
yeah. pros can do that becuase the team usually supplies them with as many sticks as they want, or they have enough money to but sticks. but for regular players, most can't afford to continuously buy new sticks from the blade wearing down.
thats why you dont get a stick just cuz its fancy...you get one for the weight the curve and stuff, i have a warrior syko and use blade tape i have used it for 6 months and my blade is still perfect so...ya
the more grip from your blade thats on the puck, the more spin your ultimately going to get. dont tape your stick and throw a hard pass down the ice, then tape your stick and try it again, its a world of a difference. The taped blade will put a spin on the puck and make it curve as it heads down the ice.
I used this on my roller hockey stick

Bladetape>normal tape
more durable, no snow/moisture buildup, stick stays in better shape, 10000X MORE GRIPPY THAN OLD TAPE, better shots and passes.
For 10 dollars, this is a steal, the bottom just degrades a tiny, tiny bit. Normal tape has nothing on this.
