This truely a song a wish I wrote...a beautiful song about a beautiful yet troubled man...I do recall seeing photos of Syd in his older years riding a bike and not even making the connection of the song "Bike" from his youth and the irony of it all. Thanks for the song! I posted a cover of "Pigs On The Wing" below and even though it is a Roger Waters tune (and it isn't about Syd like much of Dark Side and Wish You Were Here) I mentioned Syd affectionately in my spoken intro.

Barrett wrote almost all the first album of Pink Floyd "Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" and then two solo albums "The Madcap Laughs" and "Barrett".

Pink Floyd other albums always looked back a bit at his figure, expecially on the album "Wish You Were Here".

A nice tribute to the Barrettster!

It's difficult to know how to pay tribute to Syd. Would he prefer to be remembered as a musician or a painter, or maybe not remembered at all? His life was a puzzle I think we'll never solve.
