i was so excited waiting for Tangier to be released, spewin he passed when he did, bought it when it came out anyway even though he could only finish what he finish. AMAZING! i just wish i could of seen him and that concert live, that would have been an awsome concert,he used the orchestra heaps better than any rock band that used an orchestra when the "fad" went around a few years ago. One of my dad's favs and i didn't know he was that good on guitar...spewin
Billy Thorpe gave his all in this perormance of this great song it is indeed hard to believe this would be his last Television appearance ...his energy was amazing.
We lost a legend two months later a tragedy for his many friends, fans and wonderful family.God Bless.
Tried drop D but it might be the odd tones down that are the trick. I'll give that a shot, thanks. Keays did a nice version on Rockwiz the other night as well if anyone else is still doing the hippy/psych rock thing out there.
Does anyone know what tuning he's using? It doesn't sound like standard. If anyone can decode this into a tab I'd be eternally grateful. Nice camera work from the studio, kept his hands in frame almost the whole time - Appreciated, a lot of concert camera people don't have clue.
Sounds like DAGDAD to me as well, and he's duplicating that particular Rickenbacker odd 12 string tone, as well with an effect loop, as well, I think. For some reason, Rickenbacker 12's have a very unique sound.
poor Billy.. he loved my country Morocco :(((( rest in peace Legend

I went to Billys Memorial Service at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.
They had all his guitars hanging up on the walls.
Many Tributes were given that day. Michael Chugg, Jack Thompson
Olivia Newton John The whole Aussie rock industry was there.
All in Shock. He went to the States and came home to us.

@MrBadGuitarist it's drop D I think, either that or DAGDAD but I think he's tuned down a tone and just dropped the E string down an extra tone
