  • A song

  • A good song

  • Hindi and Urdu are very similaer.

  • This is definitely a great URDU poem. As far as I can remember, Lata used to take URDU class to help her singing career in her early years. I guess many people outside India don't know that although Bollywood movies use Hindi in the dialogues, the composers prefer to use Urdu in the songs. They thought Urdu is more expressive than Hindi. But nowadays movies prefer to use ENGLISH!!! Damn!!! I feel so disappointed with most Bollywood movies after 2000. They are being westernized in so many ways.

  • What was the actor telling her? What was the reason they couldn't get married?

  • im an afgahan and i just LOVE <3 indian movies and songs and im so happy tht i found out the salman khan is an afghan

  • AMITABH BACHAN IS JUST AMAZING

  • AFGHDIA FOREVE I WISH WE WERE NEIGHBOURS!!! LIFE WOULD OF BEEN AMAZIN

  • Sometimes, in my heart a feeling emerges...

Sometimes, in my heart a feeling emerges

That it's like you have been created just for me.

Before, you dwelled among the stars somewhere

And now, you have been called down to the earth just for me

Sometimes, in my heart a feeling emerges

That this body, these eyes, are mine to treasure

As if the shade beneath these tresses is meant for me

And these lips and these arms are mine to treasure

  • @mandymoore108 Thank you so much for the translation.

  • @citizenOfNowhere777 lolz np im proud of tht :)

  • Mukesh and Lata are one of the greatest singers ever produced and they are hindus and what they are singing in is URDU you can't deny the truth. SO THE SINGERS ARE VERY BEST AND SINGING URDU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fuck this shit is amazing esp the translation..

  • "mein har subhe in katoron se hasin peeunga or har sham in ankon se roshan karoonga" .....................amazing!

  • گاه گاهی به خیال دم من مییاید که اگر زنده گی در سایهء زلفان تو بود میتوانسنم شاید درد و اندوه و غم زنده گی را با دو چشم تو فزاموش کنم که نشد و چنین شد که دنیای من از تو خالی نه تو هستی نه..

  • گاه گاهی به خیال دم من مییاید

که اگر زنده گی در سایهء زلفان تو بود

    میتوانسنم شاید

    very nice gentelman..very nicely translated.mashallah.

  • Thanks for the translation..Amazing poetry by Sahir Ludhiyanwi..

  • Who ever translated the song did a great thanks

  • one world , one music music of love!

  • Thanks for this translation of an Indian song into Farsi e Dari. Great work with the video editing too.

Too all Indians and Pakistanis - Persian - Farsi - ruled most of the subcontinent for 900 years until the British replaced it with English. They had to for political reasons. The promoted anti Farsi tribals in Afghanistan too. In Central Asia - the Russians replaced Persian with Russian & tribal languages. Persian is the language of unity of us all.

  • Agree! It makes me sick, when the viewers fight about the language and the religion. Stop this none since. I am a Muslim and I don't speak urdu or hind, but I love the music in this song. That is the reason that I translated it and posted it. Start enjoying the song and please stop fighting.

  • Agree!

  • Exactly! enjoy the wonderful song. We posted this song for it's dari translation. It is a privilege to know more languages and enjoy poetry and music from different cultures. Let's celebrate it, and stop fighting.

  • I wish more people like you existed in this world, it would be so much more live-able.

Peace people, peace. Stop fighting, and appreciate the beauty of this song.

  • Vedic Sanskrit's the oldest-2000 BCE- literature of India .Almost 500,000 Indians speak sanskrit as their mother tongue.what u guys r calling "Hindi" here isn't pure sanskrit.there's no big difference between urdu & hindi.their choice of vocab would be different, but the sentence is same "yeh mera mazhab/dharam hain" i'd say they both r 1 language, but 1 got mughal/persian/islam influence, & the other is evolved throughout the time, but still carries Sanskrit at its heart

  • Sanskrit is the oldest written language on earth. You can research this..and anyone who knows Hindi knows can understand Urdu because it is 90% Hindi indeed. How else do you explain those that are fluent in Hindi being able to completely understand Urdu except for only a few words? Those few words are Arabic..example is the word Ishq- this is arabic word.

  • Lol Ishq is not an arabic word, ishq is a farsi word meaning love, in arabic its habibi.

The mughals ruled India for many centuries, from the time of Babur khan, and those of his children that built taj mahal to the time until the british came to India. Urdu writing is not due to arabic but persian influence, Mughals spoke persian and brought persian culture influences, persian culture at the time was the most advanced culture in the world.

  • True, but the Mughals were ethnically Turkish, not Persian. They just used Persian as an official language for a long time and Turkish as a nonformal one. Urdu was spoken by the Sultanate of Delhi far before the Mughals and eventually became one of the language of the Mughals after the rule of Jehangir.

  • A revealing information Ahmed.

Could provide some references that cover more details.

    Thanks-- Javaid

  • Mughals were not Turkish from Turkey..but rather Turkmen for Turkmenistan..They are not the same..The Mughal ruler never accepted as being a Turkmen but Afghan from Ghazni..(King Mahmood Ghazni)..and his poet of darbar was "Ferdoousi of Iran." But Mughals were Afghans..not Turkish..

  • I never said they were Turkish from Turkey, but you are right, they were Turks, however Babur claimed to be TImurid and was born in present-day Uzbekistan and even ruled Samarkand in Uzbekistan before having to leave for Afghanistan after he was dethroned and he fell in love with Afghanistan and claimed that to be his home, besides the borders and regions in Central Asia was a blur for the most part.

  • Salaams from Muslims in USA & UK.

We need to UNITE at this time.

Our Ummah is under attack by the Kuffar & English Crusaders.

    Salaams.

Peace to our Ummah all over Dunya.

Help an Iraqi, Bosnian, Somali, Kashmiri, Afghani, Indian, Chechnayan, American, British, French, Arab etc Muslim who has been ORPHANED by "crusader" bombs from West.

Peace, SALAAMS. Let us UNITE into one big MUSLIM Ummah.

In ALL five continent with soldiers like Omar RA. for SELF DEFENSE- "never again" NEVER AGAIN Iraq

  • very true all muslims need to unite, then once that is achieved....they all need to move to saudi arabia their fatherland and live their forever and leave everyone else alone...that would be greatly appreciated.

  • To "subroto81"- Why not come to USA or UK to see how the TRULY smart Indians have "searched" for truth and found it?

India has 100 million Muslims EVEN after the Hindus Burnt Muslims ALIVE (that is called = "kuffar" = EVIL very similar to the US soldiers who sodomized Iraqi Boys & now SAD & depressed & trying to become Muslims to be Forgiven- Only God can decide that.

Everyday a person becomes a Muslim in USA and UK by OWN reading of Quran w/o compulsion or Money Bribe (Christian MedSchool?)

  • This guy is trying 2 target saudi arabia and spreading hatered

  • Hindi came first- Urdu is an amalgamation of Hindi &Arab but it is 86%-90% Hindi. This is why many Arabs do not understand Urdu. Talk to someone who is Arab and another who is Hindi- languages are from different solar systems.Hindi is branch of Sanskrit which modern linguists attribute birth of Indo-European languages to(Hindi alphabet is same as English alphabet)Hinduism is 4000years old from carbon data,Sanskrit is even older:gave birth to Hindi.Vedas&BHAGAVAD GITAwere written in SANSKRIT.

  • The original peom is in Urdu, see the video of the writer.

Tanslating it in Hindi does not make the original peom hindi.

  • Urdu is more like 40% Arabi, 40% farsi and 20% hindi.

  • I would say Urdu is 80% farsi, as you said 40 percent arabic and 40 percent farsi and 20 percent hindi, now that 40 percent arabic are direct loan words from arabic to urdu, they entered urdu through farsi, therefore 80% or urdu vocabulary is farsi and the rest english and hindi

  • We will appreciate if people stop language war at least here. The most important part is that this is a beautiful poem and more beautiful voices added to it. Let's enjoy the love and beauty in this pieces.

  • languages tend to exchange words all the time

  • Yes, it is Urdu and , other got more Farsi words than Arabic. Most of the nouns used in Urdu are persian (Farsi). But the structure is Hindi based. For example, Farsi does not discriminate between sexes whereas Urdu and Hindi do.

In short, modern Hindi is almost Urdu or vice versa. Urdu has influenced Hindi a lot. Most of Bollywood movies have Urdu dialogues but they are named Hindi.

  • Madar in Sanskrit is Mother (pronounced the same..), Biradar is brother in Hindi, Biradri is same meaning as bretheren. The Alphabet to English is the same as well as written from left to right instead of right to left as Arabic is.

  • U have nice voice brother.

  • Thank you for your complement. I will try to provide you with better pieces.

  • But I dont understand Dari, except a fiew ward!

  • Which language do you speak?

  • I love Inida and the people of India so much. God Bless India.

America and India will be friends forever.

  • the translater makes a mistake @ 02:28! instead of saying "tujko" he says "tumko".

  • Please pay no attention to this Pbave moron. I'm an Indian Hindu who speaks Farsi and understands Dari. Man een video-e-shoma kheili doost doram. Tashakkur.

And Ambereen, there is no Hindu and Muslim culture. Urdu is not exclusive to Muslims - there are many Hindus who speak Urdu and love the language.

  • Hindi came first- Urdu is an amalgamation of Hindi &Arab but it is 86%-90% Hindi. This is why many Arabs do not understand Urdu. • If you don't know anything about Indian languages, please do not write misleading comments. Hindi is a very recently developed language, so is Urdu. Urdu is not an amalgam of Hindi and Arabic. Of course Arabic and Hindi are different, one is a Semitic language, another is Indo-European. Anyway, why am I discussing language with someone on Youtube?

  • Hindi is more than 4000 years old what are you talking about? Sanskrit gave birth to Indo European languages; if you knew urdu you would know that it is mostly Hindi 90% and 10% Arabic. I know Urdu but obviously you don't.

  • I can bet you don't know anything about Urdu, otherwise you wouldn't say something so hilarious! Hindi is 4000 years old??? Ha ha ha! Janab zara apne dimaagh ka ilaj karwayiye.

  • In its crude form(the village form), Hindi is around a 1000 years old. In its modern written form, Hindi is around 150-200 years old. Its a fairly recent language.

  • this song was actually an urdu poem...do your research before you post your racist comments on here. im sick of indian hindus taking the p#ss out of muslim culture

  • It sucks

  • whatever the language is, it is the best. I love the translation. I speak Farsi. By the way watch your language.

  • Urdu

  • First off, be respectful. Second - this is exactly what she says it is - the song with a translation in Dari - if you were able to read Urdu, you would know that the script is Dari, not Urdu

  • its hindi music u idiot

  • This is Urdu poetry, not Hindi. If it was pure Hindi, I doubt if you will be able to understand it!

  • It is not Urdu - it is Dari - ach, sometimes it's hard to be an Indian with so many ignorant Indians like you to embarrass us.

  • i know that u fag - listen to the beginning

  • You obviously don't. Otherwise you wouldn't have written these crass comments. The original song is in Urdu - this is the Dari translation - the video says as much - what part of "ba tarjoma Dari" do you not understand? Oh right, you don't understand Dari but think it's ok to come and write asinine comments on a video.
