Yeah, you're right! Tech only finished 11-1 in the regular season in arguably the toughest division in college football. They beat the number 1 ranked team (Texas) and their only loss was to the later number 1 ranked team (Oklahoma). All of that with half the recruiting talent that Texas and OU have. Even after the Cotton Bowl loss they are now 11-2 overall, which is way better than most other teams out there....I think the mad scientist is doing a pretty good job.

Yeah, TTU played bad. Theyre not used to playing an SEC defense like that, and it showed. You're bound to play bad when you've had it easy all season, and are caught off guard by a good defense.

The Big 12 is about offense. They dont have the caliber defenses like in the SEC. They dont play them much outside of bowl games. Thats why Big 12 games are usually so high-scoring, and why Big 12 Teams like Texas and Oklahoma always look so good.

It wasn't supposed to be a QB sneak. Harrell was supposed to do a hard count and try to draw Ole Miss offsides. If they didn't jump (they didn't) he was supposed to drop back into shotgun and take the snap and run it like a normal play. Harrell saw the play clock running down and no nose tackle and thought he'd be able to run for the 1st. The center pass blocked and Harrell got slowed down and eventually stopped short from being held up at the line. None of it was supposed to be called that way.
