I swear, GM makes some of these advertisements as if they designed the car themselves.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, wasn't Opel the first with that design? I mean, at least Pontiac changed up the looks, but Saturn basically just took an Opel GT and slapped their logo on it with a slightly more powerful engine. I'm not complaining as I've been wanting an Opel for a while now... and now's my chance at owning the American version! lol

Well, first, the Saturn Sky is NOT based on the Opel GT - other way around. The Solstice is also based off of the Sky. The Sky is based off of the 2003 Vauxhall VX Lightning concept vehicle when Vauxhall decided not to produce it.

Second, both Opel and Vauxhall are GM companies, along with Saturn and Pontiac. So GM didn't "steal" anything from anyone else .. they had it in the first place and just passed it on to a different division that would put the design into production.
