@mohrpimpin i would get the jbl's over most subs. the only kicker that would maybe hit harder than these subs are the solo x from kicker. these 1222's cant really touch a solo x

I accidently god a kole audio 500 watt that looks exactly like these 12"s. I know its a 12 too. what's the watts on these and do you know anything about kole audio. you see I was trying to replace a 12" tower and the person getting it got the wrong size. Now i wanna build a sub box for a 12".

@MaxVolumeify I run a pair of these 12" subs in 1.5" thick MDF cabinets on a Crown CTS-2000 amp for my home subs. Those are more than just "paper" cones, they're Kevlar impregnated. They feel as rigid as fibreglass. The nice part about these JBL subs is their "Plus One" sizing. The 12" version is essentially a 14" sub. Pretty much useless as a replacement woofer but super for custom builds.

@marcmielhausen1971 know anything about Kole audio. what you said about the "plus one sizing" this thing wont fit in my tower cabinet. I'm thinking of making a sub box for it somehow. It doesn't have the kevlar whatever cone though, its actually just flattened over with a ridge for the middle.
