  • Why can't you leave the music alone. This is rubbish

  • Why has the great John Barry music been replaced here with a crummy guitar-rock overdub?

  • @slideharp1 Because it's hilariously terrible

  • @Chasehead Lol, O.k.

  • @Chasehead P.S. I confess to not having read your post explaining the nature of your viddy.

  • you can tell this is fake the brits couldnt fight the could only shoot the zulus would have never waited to kill

  • @remedave actually thr British fucked the zulus up with their bayonets in rorkes drift as their martini henrys overheated so get your facts right. I would bet on a British man over a zulu any day in any kind of fight.

  • @bantermelon No get your facts straight, under the leadership of shaka's cousin they won a bloody battle in which the zulu's out numbered them. Taking the british over the zulu's in ANY battle proves your ignorance. In order to defeat the zulu's in their second battle the british needed stronger weapons including the cannon ball, which means just their rifles wasnt enough, how dumb can you be. I.E. the battle was called

    The Battle of Isandlwana.

  • @remedave actually about the nba thing. Im British so I dont watch that crap. You might jump higher than me but I gurantee if my fist connects with you then you are going down. Plus if you want to play the racial card then it is proven that white people are genetically stronger than blacks. eg all the strongest men in world - white. Plus look at all the best soldiers in the world today. Anyway the British should have been slaughtered to a man in Rorkes Drift. The zulus were scared of bayonets :)

  • @remedave we have adapted to get more energy out of less sun as we were raised in conditions where sunlight was not as commmon in Africa. And one drop law? Some law in america makes something scientifically true. You delude yourselves because we white men have embarrasses you and made you look like fools. So as you can see factually and genetically the white man is stronger.

  • @bantermelon LOL you delude yourself as to think that you've adapted lol, clinicly manufactered products dont count. tanning beds and spray kits that last for 24 hours= adaptation you cant be serious. Yeah you delude some blacks and the ones you cant delude as in myself you assasinate them in fear.

  • @bantermelon You're wasting your time arguing with a black American Krakka - especially about Africa. Most black Americans know very little about it other than what they saw on 'Roots' (which is all they want to know) that piece of tele-drama being 'taught' to Americans as actual History - which isn't as hard on the brain as reading books. Interesting how Haley's novel was discredited right after he died by the very same people who lauded it when it came out - spec. The Village Voice.

  • @bantermelon In additiom to Haley's contention to tracing his ancestry to a specific tribe and village being refuted by the Africans he interviewed, Haley was sued by Alex Courlander (a white authour) for plagiarizing his novel "The African", written over ten years before "Roots". Haley settled out of court, admitting taking substantial sections from Courlander's book.

  • @bantermelon Also your british army lacked defense , You know something this also goes with saying in modern times white boys also lack defense in the N.B.A. AHAHAHAHAHA But more importantly The Battle of Isandlwana was the british worst defeat in colonial history. Before you challenge me provide sources in not just some punk you speak your illogical bull crap to

  • @remedave You sad, DUMB bitch.

  • @slideharp1 dude get a life

  • @remedave dude, get a piece of pussy

  • @remedave Isandlwana was by no means 'the worst defeat in British colonial history'. It was, however, the greatest African victory over a colonial power - which is where your perspective comes from. But you're right, if RD had been a basketball game the Zulus may well have escaped defeat. Very good observation, that.

  • hey

  • this is bs, those british guys got there ass kicked in close combat

  • ohhh you must mean the british guys who buttfucked a vastly superior zulu army and sent them packing lol..if the zulus weren't such pussies they could have easily taken the farm but they got ass raped by the bayonets and got scared

  • @bantermelon um the zulu army was definately not supier. spears and rawhide shields vs guns, cannons, rockets and horses. the zulus kicked ass in close range. they lost cuz the brits had guns

  • hahahahahahahaha zulus got raped even though they only had about 80 british to kill they got fucked up. couldn't hang with the big boys. yeh 80 guns against god kows how many spears. wonder how fast those single shooters could fire looooooool

  • which battle are you talkin about. in rorkes drift the zulus barely even reached the british. they all got shot. in isandlwana the british got annihilated. those guns could fire fast enough

  • @umidontno040394 The zulus had guns, they bought them from European traders before the war began. Cetshwayo was no fool and new that guns would be needed. In fact at this battle the InDuna placed his riflemen all along the high position at Oskaberg, and they shot down at the British. In fact bullets killed half the British men who died there. The zulu leaders had horses, and only the British officers had horses. Oh and there were no cannon or rockets at Rorke's Drift.

  • @thebigJM92 the zulus didnt have a steady supply of guns and ammo like the british did. every british soldier had gun. the british had walls up everywhere that a people could not climb. the were up there with their guns shooting the zulus. the zulus realized it wouldnt be worth it to try and take the place because too many of them would get shot. of the 4,000 zulus and rorkes drift only 300 died. the rest retreated.

i said zulus lost the whole war because of guns, cannons, and rockets

  • @umidontno040394 Well Prince Dabulamanzi kaMpande who led the impi to Rorke's Drift had been told by Cetshwayo two things. Do not attack a fortified position and do not cross the buffallo river. As it turned out the Prince did both of those things when he attacked Rorke's Drift. He did it because his men had not taken much part at Isandlwhana and they were resentful that they had not been able to "wash their spears". The plan was to pull off a fait accompli, overwhelm the base, and go home

  • @umidontno040394 Luckily for the people at Rorke's Drift (80 active soldiers, 36 wounded and about 20 non military personell-there were originally more but the Natal Native Contingent ran away) they had been able to hear the fighting at Isandlwhana and the officers had decided that fortification needed to be made (there was none up to this point). Thus the defence was made of mealie bags, two wagons, other supplies and all shaped around the hospital, storehouse and a small Kraal.

  • @umidontno040394 The Natal Native's did play a key part in helping to build the first line of fortification before they ran away, and this allowed it to be completed just before the zulus arrived. The third line of defence (the one in the film that they retreat to when they use volley fire) was actually built WHILE they were fighting. The zulus had more guns at Rorke's Drift than the British had because of their sheer numbers, though over the whole war i agree with your point.

  • @umidontno040394 For 12 hours solid the zulus sent wave after wave at the the redcoats, the hospital was burnt down and the wounded who did not escape were stabbed repeatedly (a fate far nicer than that given to the band-boys at Isandlwhana). In fact by the end the British had been forced back to the second and partially the last line of fortification (ie mealie bags), had no water (water needed with smoke in mouth), and had only 20 rounds each left. They left because Chelmsford was coming.

  • @0102106kls Actually in close combat "those british guys" drove back wave after wave of zulus. In fact the zulus feared the bayonet more than they feared the bullet, and taking down a redcoat was considered in zulu society as impressive as taking down a lion (killing other natives though was just par for the course for the zulus). Private Hook in the hospital saved 8 wounded men and drove back dozens of zulus on his own with his bayonet with the roof on fire.

  • @thebigJM92 yeah they drove them back cuz they stood on top of the walls that the zulus couldnt scale. killing any person with a decent weapon in combat is always more impressive than killing almost any animal.

private hook stayed in the rooom and shoved his bayonet through the hole the zulus were making. one zulu could have beaten him in the open.

  • @umidontno040394 You are massively oversimplifying what Private Hook's did. He fought zulus back through 4 rooms, in choking smoke, with a wounded arm, waiting for Private Williams to cut a hole in the walls big enough for the patients to fit through (3 times). He had quickly ran out of ammunition and was left only with his bayonet-putting him on par with a zulu with assegai. He defended holes, windows and doors at alternate periods and even went BACK to save a patient once he was out.

  • @thebigJM92 its not that hard to defend a small opening with few people. thats basically what the greeks did at thermopalyae. they sat in the pass with 7000 warriors and the persians couldnt go around them.

  • @umidontno040394 They were attacking a wall, but in most places it was no more than shoulder high and the British werent stood on it so they were both at the same height. There were a few places were there was a natural wall and soldiers were shooting out of windows, but no more than one or two. Unlike at Thermopalyae the British were defending from all sides, not just one, and dont forget that everyone gets tired- the zulu could just keep throwing in wave after wave.

  • @thebigJM92 yeah buts its still hard to get over a should high wall when there is bayonets pointing out from it.

at isandlwana the british didnt have many walls and a fortified place to defend. the british were outnumbered about the same amount and they got slaughtered in that battle. but in that battle they had cannons and rockets as well as the rifles. most zulu guns were crappy single shooter muskets that the zulus werent even good at using.

  • @umidontno040394 At Isandlwhana they were actually outnumbered LESS than at Rorke's Drift, but yes, because they didnt form a defensive position they were over-run. Not even walls were needed. If they had formed into a square, with cannon in the corners (though they only had 2) like at Ulundi they could probably have repelled the zulu. As it was they extended themselves in a long, thin line that was overwhelmed, this was compounded by the fact that they were too far from the ammunition.

  • @umidontno040394... meaning when they ran out they could not get any more. The problems of the long-extended line were further added to when the Natal Natives broke and ran, leaving large gaps in the line that the zulus flooded through. In the end the British clustered into knots and fought back to back until they were overwhelmed, they managed to inflict 3000 casualties and Cetshwayo said "a spear has been thrust into the belly of the nation".

  • @thebigJM92 well casualties are debated but only about 1,000 zulus were killed. the rest of the casualties were wounded.

what point are we arguing about again?

whether a zulu warrior or british soldier was better at close combat?

  • @umidontno040394 Erm something like that.... I wasnt so much arguing as debating. Its reached a good length anyway!

  • @thebigJM92 yeah whatever. arguing/debating is fun sometimes but sometimes is annoying.

  • @umidontno040394 There were no "walls" to stand on top of so much as a rudimentary line of food bags and two wagons. One or two redcoats were used as scouts and they went up on the storehouse and hospital roof, but this was soon ended because the zulus were shooting down at them from the high Oskaberg to the South and they were sitting ducks.

  • @thebigJM92 from what i have read there was walls blocking the zulus from getting at the british. and the zulus were not able to scale them. they tried but couldnt get up because the british were on top stabbing down at them.

  • Poor music!!
