The original owners agreed to open the park to the public(which includes protesters) in exchange for city officials turning a blind eye to One Liberty Plaza violating zoning regulations, and Brookfield inherited that responsibility when they took over ownership. If they want to close the park, they can feel free to nullify their contract with the city by demolishing the building.

i call bullshit on his 15 years in the military. homeless people lie to me about their service all the time. as a vet i've actually been lied to about others' service more than i've been thanked for mine (way more). this guy sounds like he was actually in based on his whole "15 seconds" spiel but no way in hell it was for 15 frikkin years. a few months ago a homeless guy at a taco joint was BEGGING ME to ask him why the gov't wanted to send him to libya. "ask me! ask me! ask me!" never served.

Many say they were for some incomprehensible reason. I wish I could understand the logic behind this. I actually had a BF in HS that told me his father had been disabled at TET Offensive. My father was @ TET Grn brt. We had them over 4 dinner and my father ask him abt. When he left my father told me he was liar knew nothing abt TET!

He should listen to his own suggestion of "changing inside yourself" and take advantage of his GI Bill and other VA benefits after 15 years in the service.
