i see alot of people commenting about sports memories and how this song brings back feelings of dissapointment. even though i do play high school footlball, this song does something for me other than make me think about football. It makes me think about my whole life. im 15 and have 2 older brothers that moved out recently. i was watching home movies of us playing, and it got me very nostalgic about being a kid. all the technology and drama of being a teenager. this song makes me miss childhood.

my last year as a varsity football player and made it to state championship. and we were down by 6 points. 21-27. we had the ball at their own 5 yard line. and the qb threw a short pass to me and i barley crossed the chalk in the endzone. the ref was right in front of me and he said i was shart. i started crying. and 1 of the other teamates came up 2 me and said u did cross the line. i cried evevn harder cuz that should of been us having that ring and trophy.

Every down you play teaches you something, every practice you go to sheds a bit more light on life, every locker room conversation makes you appreciate the life you have. I now serve in the United States Army as a Cavalry Scout and often think back about my football days. Young guys soak it up while you can because your "last down" will come someday, and you want to look back and be satisfied. You get one shot at life, thats it.
Football.... That's all that's on my mind when I hear their music. In my last game I realized I'll never play a down again & instantly this song began to play in my head & I cried. I've played since 1st grade & I feel now I'm being forced to retire. After turning a team from 1-9 my junior year into a playoff team finishing 7-3 I'm proud but heart broken :/

I played football my whole life, started when i was 8. My high school career record was 44-2. One of those losses was the championship game. It was a cold night first time in over 30 years we actually made it back. The next year we went undefeated 13-0, i wear a fat ring on my finger to this day. Before i had a shot a college football my spleen swell up and i couldnt play anymore. Now I'm a sophomore in college and when i listen to this song I just want to train to be the best i can be.

I never played football for my high school. I was always the short and skinny kid so I ran cross country, following my fathers footsteps. I never considered playing football. I wish I had earlier. It's my senior year and the season just ended a month ago or so. I began announcing some of the home football games with a video team and it was some of the most memorable times of my high school years. Although I was pretty bad, I'll always miss being able to announce. I wish I could do it again.

Broke 4 ribs on the 4th play of the game and played through it, lost 14-7 I will remember that game forever.
This summer my goal was to become a starting wide reciever for the team. I practiced all summer running, catching, doing everything. I wanted the feeling of the crowd cheering for me as a ran in for a touchdown, A feeling I never felt before. At the end of summer i felt like Jerry rice, maybe the best reciever at school. The star player who drops to his knees and prays. The team that held the trophy up and chanted "all of us!". When I was staying wtih family trying to leave but lois wouldnt let me. She kept taking money and pat took $16,000.00 for a LOST CAUSE and said he would pay me back which he never would. Did she see when I left the house to get something to drink downtown and came back and saw the WICCAN heart on the ground (PURPOSE)? Then went into my room and came back and the WICCAN heart was back up on the wall?

I kept that WICCAN heart for myself and brought it with me when I left that house. Those 3 GOLDEN HEARTS with eggs inside them were pat, lois and kaylene. I wasnt like them one bit. kaylene was adopted too but born in usa, so was pat and lois. I wasnt born in usa.
There was a PLATTER of plates at top like a GRAIL collection... and then I saw it. The container you put ashes in. I saw other stuff in the house too that resembled me and kay. There was stuff I didnt see.

She saw what I was thinking and wrote on internet? I didnt want to believe it and wasnt sure how it was working but always knew when I got out of military something didnt feel right. I didnt feel right when I was in rear detachment and they wouldnt deploy me. It was weird.

Football is more then a game, its part of YOU and what makes YOU. Every down you play teaches you something, every practice you go to sheds a bit more light on life, every locker room conversation makes you appreciate the life you have. I now serve in the United States Army as a Cavalry Scout and often think back about my football days. Young guys soak it up while you can because your "last down" will come someday, and you want to look back and be satisfied. You get one shot at life, thats it.

Football.... That's all that's on my mind when I hear their music. In my last game I realized I'll never play a down again & instantly this song began to play in my head & I cried. I've played since 1st grade & I feel now I'm being forced to retire. After turning a team from 1-9 my junior year into a playoff team finishing 7-3 I'm proud but heart broken :/

I played football my whole life, started when i was 8. My high school career record was 44-2. One of those losses was the championship game. It was a cold night first time in over 30 years we actually made it back. The next year we went undefeated 13-0, i wear a fat ring on my finger to this day. Before i had a shot a college football my spleen swell up and i couldnt play anymore. Now I'm a sophomore in college and when i listen to this song I just want to train to be the best i can be.

I never played football for my high school. I was always the short and skinny kid so I ran cross country, following my fathers footsteps. I never considered playing football. I wish I had earlier. It's my senior year and the season just ended a month ago or so. I began announcing some of the home football games with a video team and it was some of the most memorable times of my high school years. Although I was pretty bad, I'll always miss being able to announce. I wish I could do it again.

My ast home game ever we lost the game 20-14 and honestly that last touchdown i might as well have given it to them... on a fourth and 4 i jump offsides and give them the 5 yds they needed to get a first down the next play they score and when the game was over i cried and cried for atleast an hr fully padded i remember them turning off the stadium lights and i was still out there it just goes to show how much the game of football grows on you and the thought you can never play ball again

My last game of football ever we lost in the Quarter Finals. My coach told us before the game.. "Seniors, for most of you this will be the last downs of football you ever play. Cherish it, leave nothing on the field, play your hearts out. The bonds you've made and things this game has taught you will never leave you, you will never forget them and are all better be men because of it." Broke 4 ribs on the 4th play of the game and played through it, lost 14-7 I will remember that game forever.

This summer my goal was to become a starting wide reciever for the team. I practiced all summer running, catching, doing everything. I wanted the feeling of the crowd cheering for me as a ran in for a touchdown, A feeling I never felt before. At the end of summer i felt like Jerry rice, maybe the best reciever at school. Then my dad told me i couldn't play because of my size. I nearly cried. Our team, is playing fine without me, and even though im not there playing. i will always cheer them on.

we lost 42-17 last night, but a bad snap on one of our punts in the 3rd quarter let me pick it up and run for 23 yards. being a soccer player turned to our schools kicker, that was one of the greatest feelings in the world those 23 yards. this is the best sport in the world, no matter what position you play. im gonna love these next 2 years!

Football has been life for me. High school was the greatest years of my life and football is the one thing in my life that has never let me down. Every friday night i would get to play the greatest game in the world. So many people dont get to and for that im sorry. Football is more than a game, it changes you for the better. I am a junior and I've got 1 year left of football, our first game against our rivals will be the last shot for our seniors, it's going to be hard to watch them leave..knowing that I've got one more year just means that I've got to make it the most memorable season ever..Family, Friends, and Football... I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to play high school football in Texas and to play and have sucess at a high level. I now realize how lucky i am to have the privilege to continue playing the greatest game in the world at the Division I level next year when so many of my teammates will never be able to play this game again for as long as they live. I'll tell you one of the greatest feelings is unity. Just last year, we made it to Texas 5A State game...and won. You never forget the moments after the win. The star player who drops to his knees and prays. The team that held the trophy up and chanted "all of us!". The senior who starts to cry because it is his last game and his younger brother that comes up to comfort him. Football's a brotherhood man. I make videos just to see those moments over and over again. :)

Last high school game i ever played i had an interception returned for a TD from 60 yards out in two tackles in the first half. Second half tour my MCL. I never played football again. It's been two years but feel's like yesterday. I wanted to cry when i couldn't go out on the field with my family my senior year because of my knee. I wish i took the chance of my knee getting fucked up more and played my senior year. Don't make the same mistake as me

Come here and listen this song. Never cant get a good sleep before gameday. And guys, yeah, im from finland, it does sound funny that someone is so deep in football but yeah, we play it here too. Its funny that in my team, im one the youngest, im 18, youngest player is 16 and oldest is 45. Yeah, sounds wierd but its great, really.
