It doesn't matter if that Subaru had 860HP or 1000HP, the GT will always get around him, It's mid-engined for better balance, it's lighter, better power to weight ratio, and it can keep it's tires on the ground.

you are missing the point. This was to illustrate to the common motorist (i.e. one that considers the wrx fast, as most of us do,) how insanely fast this particular test pool of cars is. It isn't necissarily gt vs. wrx, but a representation of 'common' fast car vs. freakishly 'uncommon' fast cars. It is just a reference guide for us to understand the strata in witch these cars are being judged.
