@lowprofingers i felt the same way when i first heard unquantized stuff. i literally had to askpeople if I was crazy. You just have to ease back a little, slow your head nod a little bit, the flow is still there. at the risk of sounding like a pothead, just smoke a little bit of weed and it makes perfect sense ;) im a drummer and i had trouble at first but it's just a little extra swin g on certain notes, the downbeat is still on a grid

@barehotmash - I have heard of them, and own a number of their albums/ep's etc, but find this to be infinitely more listenable. Always found them both to be a bit deliberately harsh and inaccesible. And don't get me started on bloody Squarepusher - unlistenable! Anyway, in short, I prefer my IDM a little more "melodic". Boards Of Canada FTW!
