Man, I can already see your second video when looking for a rhythm for jam. Put dick on those who do not like. It may not be full of music, but a good bit. Play what you want to express themselves. Who is like, someone is not very good, but it was there and always will be. Good luck, man page.
I'm 14 and im playing bits of slayer now go troll somewhere else... That may not require skill.. which it really does dick but it isn't bout the talent, just the sound...
@zigg3ns yeah I really like this. I mean it sounds repetitive but what people dont get is that with a guitar riff it will sound fucking bomb. I played along with it and it came out fucking badass I like the part where you really pick up the speed and thats the shit that has been lost in this new generation of players. They all think that by doing blast beats That they are increasing the tempo or BPM but in reality they are keeping it the same. keep it up bro and I wouldnt mind a remake of this
@TheBigglenn311 Thanks so much man! You get it! Yeah a lot of people say I "loose time" but im purposoly changing the BPM. Changing the drum feel may sound faster but its the BPM that counts. =]
@zigg3ns you will become amazing if you continue to use on bass pedal while playing metal and when you get to where it is humanly impossible to just use one foot then add a second bass. single bass is becoming a lost art and will unlock soo many doors like hi hat variations. keep it up
@CrusaderBand 100 percent agree with you. I can play many instruments and I still find drums the most fun to play, but the most difficult to work with. Learning all the shit you really have to know is no fucking walk in the park as many people think it is.
I would say that drums are not an easy instrument, but a very diferent one from guitar, piano, bass, etc. I think drummers are generaly the type of musicians with less musical knowledge, but with the most fisical skill. Drums are probably the hardest kind of percussive instrument and should not be compared with melodic ones.
straight up...this is punk/thrash drumming. you're style couldn't be more defined. i drum for a thrash band myself...fun as shit but you're right there are parts in songs that can get boring
sounds like fist in ass, notso punk, like those blast beats.. trashmetal? i actually see in this vid one punk beat and your shitty drums ruins it. : / youre not like total shit, get metronome
Really? Drummng takes no effort and is easy to play? Then stop playing in 4\4 buddy. Drums is one of the most difficult instruments to play. Playing the drums, good, on time, great grooves takes ALOT of skill. I bet anything that you DON'T play drums, or even know anything about the amazing instrument.
@CrusaderBand Yo....I see where your coming from but also I can see where that guy is coming from too. I mean im not the greatest drummer in the world and ill admit that im not that great but I do it to have fun. But I can see where that guy is coming from because of the fact that I've played drums in punk bands and let me tell you... it gets boring. I'm not very inspired to learn more stuff these days but I do know a lot of funk grooves too though.
@zigg3ns of course....I play in a punk band but my preferred genre is funk and jazz.....because punk, most rock, and really mainstream music in general is unbearably repetitive.
@zigg3ns Bro,you are just skimming the edge of what you call "PUNK" drumming. To say you are no longer inspired by it or that is is boring shows that you are not willing to put the time into learning new fills, timing and styles.Granted this video is from 2008 and I would like to see a newer vid from you before I go ripping. But there is much more to the art of punk/thrash drumming young grass hoppa.
@dCaHnAnOyS yeah. Maybe I should make a new video. I feel like I definitely got better. I dont know if I should take down these videos though and put up new ones or if I should just leave them
There is nothing wrong with any of these videos. Use them as a stepping stone to show your self and others where you came from.Live, learn and grow. Listen to every style of drumming you can and take it all in.There are many styles by many drummers out there that may spark new interest in punk and thrash for you.Never give up and never become closed minded.
@CrusaderBand Hey man. I get what your trying to say that drumming is the hardest imstrument to play, and i agree with you. But me, ive been drumming for about 3 years (with my own kit) and i find it incredibly easy to make beats above 230-bpm while adding my own style to jamming. I aint trying to bust you up or anything, im just lettin you know that many people can grasp things very easily.
@CrusaderBand well said, drums are easy to play badly but amazingly hard to play well, i think this dude needs a lot more practice but thats my opinion, everyone thinks playing drums just involves the rock beat played fast and hard but those are the people that will never reach their full potential just like this guy, oh and before anyone starts saying im a dick, im a drummer that plays at an expert level, ive played in thrash metal bands but mainly technical metal, and i use a JJ pearl custom.
@CrusaderBand i hav 2 agree with u on that 1 man......even though i play guitar,...i wud admit that the drums are extremely hard 2 play. it's hard 4 me 2 keep track of the beats & my arm & leg movements. So all u people out there who say that drums are easy or something especially the 1s who don't play drums, try doin what this dude in the video did & then talk
First of all DoctorSoctopus, don't get any of your informatio from wikipedia. There's a good chance of it being bullshit seeing as anyone can go on and change anything. And this is very easy and boring drumming. There is nothing thrash about this really. Execpt a few parts.
First, there was punk. Then, punk developed into hardcore, and hardcore combined with metal, to create.... THRASH. thrash was not before hardcore, and it bugs me when people say thrash was first. You can even check wikipedia, as much as I hate it when people get all of their info from it.
yes punk was first. It's common sense. A lot of bands in the late 80's had a thrashy style although it wasn't considered thrash. Im more of a punk rock person and early hardcore person as well but I like everything
Actually underground punk zines described intense hardcore with the word Thrash before Thrash metal even existed. All the pioneers of thrash metal were influenced by hardcore (thrashcore) bands and just polished their style with NWOBM.
Oh my GOD. Shoot me in the face and call me EVERT. This was godawfull. I'm sorry man, but you HAVE TO vary it ALOT MORE. COMEON. LISTEN to some different rock/punk/thrashbeats goddamn it! WHAT IS THIS? ;_____;

thanks dude, more people need to be like you on this damn site. like i dont even say things that are offensive and people want to start arguments with me and "fight" its stupid. like i said to a drum cover of a children of bodom song i said it was a good cover but it could be flawless if you were really playing for 5 years. and the guy starts talking shit about me. ive been druming for 2 months short of a year and i can damn near play the song perfect but i cant upload on my laptop. dumbass ppl
