I totally want to go to one of these U2 concerts just to see Muse. But I'm going to wait until they do their own show. U2 should be opening for Muse IMO! :-D
u2 is known better, they've been around much longer, muse is still a young band, give them some years like u2 has had and you guys will see how many people will realize how amazing muse is as well.
Whoever said Muse is awful probably has profound hearing loss. I suggest you to see a doctor and wear your hearing aid when you go to their gigs. Hope your hearing will be getting better next time :P
Muse is awful. You were probably the only one jumping around there because this shit is terrible. Everyone else was waiting for the real show to start.
so true. I mean I don't really care that they were on guitar hero but still...they're better than just video games. W/e. I agree though. I mean I'll take it.
@GND4ever11223 Don't forget the trashy Twilight series. Thankfully I was introduced to Muse back in 2003 when Absolution came out and they were actually given some airtime here in the states, though it was minimal airtime.
@Kenshin11212 i heard starlight on a tv show, looked up what it was, and created a muse station on pandora. I now have all their album songs and most of the b-sides and saw them live twice! thanks to guitar hero and twilight and all the other ways theyve sold themselves, they are able to pack arenas here in america and headline festivals which is what they really care about. so yea, im glad
@L0ngfellow9 I don't really like arena shows. They care mostly about all the lights and graphics and lasers more than actually performing and rocking out like they used to when they played small shows here back in 03/04. The bigger the shows, the less they focus on the music.
@Kenshin11212 well i never saw them till 2010, and i believe it's probably true that their prime from 2003-2007 just by watching the dvds, but i also think they still care a lot about the shows even thought they're more relaxed. but when i saw them in october and november it was still frickin kick ass, regardless of the stage fx. but yeah i would love to be able to go back in time and see them after origin was released
@L0ngfellow9 I never saw them until 09 but like you said, from all the videos it's very obvious they were far more into the performances back then. That being said they're still amazing. I still go absolutely nuts at their shows. I've blacked out once actually lol
@GND4ever11223 Sadly that's true. Because this song was on guitar hero, it became really popular, played on the radio a lot. Then Resistance was released and it was played on the radio a lot. This crowd is mostly middle aged people so most of them don't know who Muse is that well.
It's a shame they didn't open for U2 in europe. That would have been more epic for both bands. Since they are more well known in Europe, and well U2 sells out everywhere.
maybe they open for U2 in US because they want to show America that they are an amazing band. Muse is the band of the future. And what is better then opening for U2?
i totally agree. unfortunately theyre not a widely known band in North America, and i think thats really keeping them from playing shows here. why would you want to go from sold out crowds of 60'000 people +, to shows where nobody really cares. sucks for us fans that really want them to play here in north america.
saw three shows of this tour. U2 is my all time favourite but muse ROCKS people !! this song can take the roof off anytime!! check out this song live in Wembley. the crowd goes absolutely berserk. it's brilliant!
I was at this concert, and Muse totally rocked. The crowd was kind of into them, but it's pretty evident that not many people here know Muse. I really just found out about them this year, but they're my new favorite band, and I was more excited to see them than U2. Love Matt Bellamy (hot pink pants notwithstanding).
I'm glad. Knowing the radio stations in NY I don't think any of those people would have any exposure to Muse except for this concert. Hopefully people felt the same way you did.
I stayed around to watch U2, figured I might as well, but Muse is such a hard act to follow. After a few songs I decided Muse should have been headlining, but I'm biased lol. U2 was fantastic as well, Muse was just better, and for a terrible crowd too. Stadium was so empty.

the reason no one is jumping around is because they don't want to break an ankle, osteoporosis is a real danger for senior citizens

Did someone really say Muse makes U2 look like amateurs? Oh boy. This band is great, but some of their fans are smoking some serious crack.

What was the crowd reaction to Muse? I used to live in Jersey and I doubt more than 1000 people there even know who Muse are.

WTF? the next night was the highest attendance in that stadiums HISTORY!!!

What I meant was that all of the crowd filled in after Muse finished their set. In my section, 127, there were max 20 people when Muse played.

Ah i see, well they are the support act!!
dont get me wrong I love them and have all their albums, but U2 are the main event.

You may not like their sound but mate this is the best live band in the world right now and by a long way.

They may be when the crowd is on their side. But the audience in this video makes them look like amateurs. It's a shame they're not well known here.
