Techincally you're not supposed to take that path as sonic and that thing he ran into can be destroyed with knuckles fists...that's has something to do w/ it.

@VixYW In facts it´s possible to become Super Sonic in Hydrocity, you can find 4 or 5 great Rings in Angel Island and 3 in Hydrocity. But some are hard to find.

It's not a glitch, the spikey ice balls are just THAT badass. Not even missiles or giant space rocks can compare to their might.

In Sonic 3 & Knuckles, this bug was fixed.

There's common ground between what is set off from those spiked snowballs and with Robotnik smashing you into the ground with his machine in Launch Base, which was also fixed later on.

You know, i have a special CD with all sega games plus all the tricks in them: For example, in Sonic 3, when i start the game, it appears a screen with only 2 tricks: Unlimited lives or "ring supply".

I will explain: If your total amount of rings equals to zero, you obtain 49 rings.

Knuckles is normally invincible toward the front when flying, so in order for those spikes to actually affect knuckles, they don't use the same "hurt" collision boxes as normal things.. and thus they'll hurt you no matter what. If they used the normal collision type, they wouldn't harm knuckles if he flew into them.

u all may already know this but in sonic the hedgehog 3,if u go into 1 player,plug in 2 controllers,and lets ur friend use the 2nd player controll tails and he'll be able to do things like pick sonic up

In Sonic 3 alone, when you face the final boss as super sonic, if you let him catch you, you lose your rings. In S3&K, when you face that same boss, and let him catch you, you just hear a spring sound, and everything is fine and dandy

in S3K, Super Knuckles is NOT vulnerable to these while Super/Hyper Sonic still is. Same with the LBZ boss.
