Omg I have a similar hair type of Abby's but whenever I wash my hair it gets into a huge Afro and I have to comb it down how do you keep her hair from shrinkage
my hair texture is exactly like yours... i thought i had 4c but there calling you 4b with 4a in the back - my back is striaght too.... if only the rest was like that!
@sade77ful I figured I was a tiny bit 4a in the back, 4b in the top & 4c @ my crown area. But I really don't like the hair typing system. I know one thing, it's kinky! LOL!
@NitaB973 Check out my Curly Pudding video demonstration - it has a clear shot of my hair and I know my texture is all over the place. Yes, relaxers as a child . . . I wish I hadn't had one either. After being natural for 12 years, thankfully I have some knowledge now about natural hair. :-)
@SSDiva100 Products I use for them really does vary. It can be what's on sale, what's given to me, or what I have. But basically, I use Taliah Waajid 3 in 1 since they don't really like to be @ the sink that long, then some leave-in like Infusium or Garnier Fructis & for styling here are some things I use: hair grease, shea butter, coconut oil & curl activator.
Yeah u all have different hair but ur kids will get more kinky as they age.... Your 7 yr old will go to a 4a-4b and your 8 yr old will go to a 4b-4c kinda like urs is now. Mine was a 3a-3b as a child and now its a 3c-4a with 3b in the crown and back close to the nape. Right now, it's kinda like ur 7 year olds.
girl you have your hands full with two girls with heads full of hair... i commend you for taking the time to embrace their natural hair instead of running off to the hair salon to get it relaxed from frustration... great job it shows insight on how good of a mother u are... oh yea i dont have kids, ive just obderved alot of mothers and their habits
@SunkissedQTee Thanks! That's really nice of you to say. I love styling their hair but I know what you mean because I know way too many mothers who relax because they say it's easier. Not ever in my house! Nope - we do not do relaxers.
@downinmn I have 3 daughters all with think long beautiful natural hair. Ages 3, 4, and 6. And I don't ever plan to relax their hair. I have been natural for 14 months and they are my inspiration. I love taking care of their hair, learning it and learning mine as well. Healthly hair and happy children who love their God given hair is what is important to me to instill in my girls. You are beautiful with what God has given you, a relaxer is not necessary.
Thanks for sharing, so informative. Whenever I have kids, i hope they have hair as beautiful as your children do! I am just starting the transitioning period and after seeing this video I am beyond excited! Thanks again :)
My goodness, your daughters and you have simply beautiful God given hair. Pleaseeeeeeee tell them often how gorgeous their hair is just as it is and to never allow them to let a perm or any other chemical to come near their heads. Just incredible really. I've just recently gone natural and have discovered just how beautifully curly my texture is and the only thing I can say about my hair past is that how I wish I would have never been introduced to a perm. Thanx so much for sharing this video
You ladies have beautiful hair! And your daughters have some serious length! Thanx so much for giving us a quick but detailed look at your different textures.
Your daughters hair looks AMAZING! so long and healthy! i am going natural right now and I cant wait until my transition is over and when my hair is that length! Its interesting to see how people in the same family have such different textures and wave patterns! I am about to look at some of your other videos now! what ever u are doing with your family's hair is great! and your hair is most like mine! i love it! :) the only difference is that i have CRAZY SHRINKAGE!
@MissDivaSmiles Thank you! Yes we all have different textures. It's so funny. Check out my video titled "Twist Out from my mini twists" and you will see I have CRAZY SHRINKAGE too!
