Yes, in the original epic, Beowulf killed Grendel with his bare hands, tearing his arm from it's socket. And no, they never explicitly say WHAT Grendel looks like, so for all we know, he and his mother could've looked perfectly human, and would just be evil at heart.

I don't know why he burst in yelling 'Stop the noise!', in the poem they were acting like they were asleep in Herot(The Mead Hall), Grendel killed one man, then picked up Beowulf, who grabbed on to Grendel's arm and ripped it off. It also says that Grendel did not fight back, he was trying to escape.

Grendel isn't supposed to look like some kind of stupid undead creature...he looks like a troll, only much bigger.

Wtf...the Beowulf game, and movie, ruined the epic poem and story of Grendel...horribly.

Very true, but it described his mother as being a "she wolf" at one point. Since a lot of the Christian imagery was added to the poem at a later point, and combined with the reference that he was a "descendant of Cain," I took this to be a replacement for a Norse brother murderer, Loki, thus making, in my interpretation in the original Norse poem, a descendant of Fenrir, a wolf. Combined with his mother's only description, I've always believed Grendel was a sort of werewolf like creature.

Grendel was speaking Anglo-Saxon in the movie. Although I agree the dialouge they gave him in the game like "Grendel grind your bones" "Grendel not know you" "Grendel coming" was rather ridiculous. But it isn't that bad a design for the game. The fight is at least entertaining.

No problem. I meant more to call it Old English, but you get the idea. The Anglo-Saxons were the first Englishmen and the deelopers felt Grendel should use that language in the movie. The game however used modern English.
