MUAH!!......WASN`T FOR Y3W?....DAT WAS MY WAY OF KISSIN N DAT 2 FOR D SONG NOT FOR Y3W !LASTLY UU ASKD D MEANING OF DAT SONG ''BARSO RE MEGHA'' JO I JUST REPLIED WAT I HVE 2 DO WID DAT WORD BHOSA.HUH!!.....M I MAD 2 USE DAT BUT VL SOUND GUD WID U N UR GF!!:P
No, he was not. In a scene he says "apne yahaan to sirf Shia-Sunni hote hain, inke yahaan to Thakur, Yadav, Jaat etc sabne apni apni fauz bana rakhi hai"
Its tradition of arabs to call someone with his father's and son's name. suppose ali has son called jaafar, ppl call him abu jaafar.father of jafar.or call jaafar ibne ali.
ibne battuta was traveller but that was not his real name. batutta was father of that traveller.
hey AMMIANGLE (has dat got something to do with mother?. ammi=mom?).
Wow...I didnt know bhosa is kiss I always thought it was "chumma" or perhaps "chummi". Honeslty, "Bhosa" sounds almost vulgar to me...I mean Imagine if you were to say to your partner... "Jaanu, mere gaal pe tum 1 bhosa do na plzz" haha man thats unromantic or what?
wtf is ibn batuta? I mean gulzaar saahab is all good but sometimes his lyrics does go over my head. FOr instane in the movie "guru" the song barso re megha had some "bhosa hai dosa hai barish ka bhosa or some dosa hai" Now wtf has dosa got to do with rainfall?
@mub1972 Neither Columbus nor Vasco de Gama were travellers. They were the bastins of colonial capital, out to discover every inch of the planet for the greed of the capital and the white man. Ibn Batuta on the other hand was more than a traveller : an anthropologist/sociologist, historian, wrote on historiography etc.
Ibn Battuta(Feb. 25, 1304 1368 or 1369) was a Moroccan Berber Muslim scholar and traveler who is known for the account of his travels and excursions called the Rihla (Voyage) in Arabic. His journeys lasted for a period of nearly thirty years and covered almost the entirety of the known Islamic world and beyond, extending from North Africa, West Africa, Southern Europe and Eastern Europe in the West, to the Middle East, Indian subcontinent, Central Asia, Southeast Asia and China in the East.

@kingkhan2
The word is "ibn", not "ibne". The "-e" ending is due to a confusion between Farsi and Arabic grammar.
The "-e" (or "-ye") is a Farsi grammatical construction and is called the 'ezafe'. So, ibn-e Batuta is actually meaningless.
It should be ibn Batuta (in Arabic) or pesar-ye Batuta (in Farsi).
