  • All of a sudden I see the excitement of big city lights, skyscrapers and taxi cabs backed up at the curb. All I need now is a dame in a fur coat and tickets to the theater. Thank you sir, I needed that!

  • Sir when I get older I hope to be atleast half as good as you

  • is nice ,tanks for you talent, but please the piano needs tuning..soon!!

  • I love it when people spend a lifetime with music! There's so much to learn and learning never stops...

    Brilliant!!

  • Sounding well controlled and so classic sounding! GREAT

  • Nice to see a fellow jazz player of the same vintage that I am. (b: 1940). I still play local gigs and will till I'm 90. Keep up the great playing....love the chording..

  • Awesome!!!!

  • I love the feeling of Big Band you play. You capture the style of music from that era nicely. Your playing makes me dance.

First I thought you were playing in E, which I thought unusual but noticed you were playing in F. The piano is so out of key that it is almost a half step lower!!!

  • Nice Grand Father !!

  • lol...what an ydyot

  • Thanks for the music!

  • Soooo Nice!!!

  • Just beautiful. Great feel, great chord choices and voicings. Please post more, you need to keep this knowledge alive for younger people who love it once they get to hear it. Thanks so much for your work.

  • muy buena interpretacion gracias...

  • wow

  • Hey please look at my piano composition! It was nominated for 3 difference music awards! /watch?v=Xq1IQC3fgxc

  • It sounds like the early Dave brubeck and Bill Evans on my first records-not bad at all...

Your special voicings and expression should be

    more impressive on a Steinway...

    greetings from Old Germany

  • Great job on a classic tune Haydn!!!

  • awesome!

  • cool voicings!!

  • nice changes

  • this is fantastic! i like scatting to it :)

  • Wow, you're a very good pianist. It's amazing that it was improvised. Well done! I hope to get as good as you some day! Also, please check out my jazz improv vid. I need some feedback! Thank you! :)

  • Awesome

  • this guy is old an that is awesome, that he's old.

  • very nice jazz-tune!

    i like your playing-style

  • COMPLIMENTI DALL'ITALIA..........

  • Sir, you know what it means to play the piano! Undoubtedly! But you know what ? I am afraid to record on an out of tune piano lest that the audience and myself sometimes react negatively at hearing my recording. Congratulations !

  • I know this may sound a bit wierd, but I love the sound of an untuned piano. It adds that interesting pitch bend effect and makes it sound very early 1900s, which is great for this style. Although I hear that some people with absolute pitch can't stand anything untuned.

  • You dont even have to have absolute (i say "perfect") pitch. I mean with me, I just have a really sensative ear. Its not bad with single note lines, but if I hear an out of tune chord, say if even one note being like a quarter-step under/over pitch it bugs me...

  • Wonderful.

  • BRAAAVOOO!!!

  • Fantastic !! I love all your videos. They are great piano lessons for me. I would so much like to play as you.

  • really lovely song, i wish there was an actual clean version

  • This is nice, I really like it : )

    -Tilly/FSK

  • It's an English piano. The worst of all the pianos. Open faced pinblock junk. I'm amazed he makes it sound as good as it does.

He deserves a good piano for sure.

  • adrenaline..no_....o.k.you know to do it)to play piano=.but i do ..so ...adrenaline.perffeckt block chords.plus i love your way with music...so...so what.we will not buy some land in sharm el sheik.

  • Wonderful arrangement. I wish I could hear it on a nicer piano. Still, there is something about that slightly out of tune piano that adds a nice gritty quality to it. Thanks for sharing :)

  • That piano in every Sunday School room that has every D or E all snafued in a wonderfully weird way, is that perhaps what you mean?

People pay money to get that sound you know!

Tasty, HH! Thank you very much...

  • Wonderful,

    love it

    congrats

  • that piano sounds like crap...

  • yep, it does. that's my dad playing and he refuses to play until he can afford a new piano! He kept telling me it was out of tune, but I said, go for it. dad said, even after a good tuning, it loses it in a couple of days.

  • Superlative! Sublime!

  • Days of Wine.....Haydn plays cool jazz at its best.

Some great chords. I've only played this particular piece about 15 times.

  • omg... may I have the notes? you play amazingly...

  • Class act! I asked on another video, but do you teach jazz piano improvisation or do you have an online course? I followed the link to jazzunleashed but i think it's just your jazz blog. thanks

  • amazing!!!

  • Just wonderful playing. Thank you for posting.

  • Thanks for your kind words about my playing.

I want you to know that I think your playing

is just wonderful. All the best from Haydn.

  • AWESOME JAZZ!

  • It was an honour to hear you play sir Haydn. Please educate us some more with your wonderous jazz stylings.

  • Fantastic stuff! And I do agree with the comment before... perhaps a grand piano for your next video.

  • Great stuff, very creative, sophisticated jazz playing. I would like to see you do it on a well-tuned grand piano.

  • Your chord voicings are very dense and complex. Truly wonderful.

  • Jazz improvisation at it's best

    Steven
