  • niceee perfomance!!! ♥♪♫

  • bravo bravo good show

  • to the stupid comment by "truthteacher2007". Egypt is in Africa, and now what. So it does not mean that some black idiot somewhere in Gnana or Nigeria or whatever mambo jaumbo place claim .0.00001% of Egypt history. You blacks go get your damn history instead of claiming what does not belong to you. This is like an Indian claims history of China because they are both in Asia, or an English claims Vikings history because they are both in Europe. What a messed up black logic,

  • Dear Zaky, you are an asshole. For your information, this man in the video is MY friend and I shot this footage. I am not trying to claim Egyptian culture for myself. I am of West African origin and from Congo as well as Europe. Egypt is in Africa and shares elements of culture with its neighbors. Have you ever seen dances from Somalia, Congo and Kenya? Compare them with Egyptian and other North African dances and you will see there is a relationship.

  • Culture runs deeper than skin color. Europeans do not move this way, and the Arabs got this style of dance from EGYPTIANS. Now where is Egypt? Its in Africa isn't it? Africa is not one big country, it is a continent made up of several cultures. So yes, this is one of many Africa dances found in the continent and it bears a striking resemblance to ofther African dances in North, Central and East Africa. As I said Egyptian history is not mine. Mine is in West africa but Egypt is part of Africa

  • Don't get the shit twisted, this comment has nothing to do with the Ancient Egyptian race controversy. And if you pulled your head out of your ass for just a second, you would see that I am the one cinsistently defending the Modern Egyptian people as the direct descendants of the ancient people, regardless of skin color. Egypt is where Asia and Africa meet both geographically and gentically, get over it and get a life!

  • He dances like a woman. Egyptian guys (may be gays) are amazing !!!!!

  • He dances like an African because Egypt is an African country and all over Africa men and women do these movements when they dance. educate yourself before you show your ignorance to the entire world with such stupid comments.

  • I love these guys. Saw em on a dvd at a wedding for the zafa. egyptians have a great soul for dance

  • Yes it is

  • I love you Mahsoub...remember my kisses in Cairo.

  • I have checking them out and are part of my favorites.

I have tried to look for a place where to purchase a "galabeyah" on the net without good results, could you possible direct me to the right direction?

    thanks pall!!!

  • I really don't know. Where do you live? Is there an Arab or Muslim community in your area?

  • I live in San Diego California, not quite sure about the Arab population here, but I will look around and see what I can find. I'll keep you posted, thanks a lot for taking the time.

    Regards!!

  • There has to be a muslim community there. I think it will be very hard to find Egyptian gallabeyahs, but you should be able to find the white Kuwaiti ones like what Tito wears when he dances.

  • I will start my search tomorrow, I'll keep you posted of my progress.

Once again, thanks sooo much for your time and effort.

    Best wishes my friend!!

  • I heard there is a substantial Middle Eastern (mainly Lebanese/Armenian I think) community in Glendale. You might find something there - or at least someone who can help you.

  • @SanDiego63

    Did you try littleegypt

  • @SanDiego63

Did you try littleegypt online store?

  • Thanks much buddy, now I can start my new hobby.. Belly dance!!

  • Kool! Check out the other clips in my collection, I have some good cultural and historical information you will find usefull

  • Can someone tell me, what is the name of the outfit the male dancer wears, please?

    Thanks(-:

  • Its called a gallabeyah. Usually they wear two layers, especially in winter. The under layer is thiner material and white. Under that they wear a vest called a sidiri and the turban on they wear on the head is called a shal

  • I am in the background dancing, he picked my friend Natasha with the blonde hair to dance. I cannot believe I found this on youtube. I am so glad to see him dance again, if only on video!

  • ohh my good that was so great i would love to dance with him.

  • At the begining I thought that his dancing is simple but few months ago I had a chance to change my mind...

What I see in this video is his routine. He always dances like that with guests. Once after his show I started to dance with him and it was just amazing! We were both very tired but also relaxed and we started to play some kind of 'dance game'. It was just for fun but people started to watch. When it was over I was just thunderstrucked. What he can do is much more than I thought!

  • Wow! I can't imagine him as 14yrs old boy... Anyway I like him very much just because he has a spark. When he dances- he glows with this unique, male power... I admire it very much.

  • Just imagine him shrunken down by about a foot with a short curly afro, and you've got him. I get a kick out of watching him soak up all the attention from the ladies. They just love him and he looks like a kid in a candy store. I think his dancing though simple is very infectious because he loves it so much and has a great time.

  • I just can't believe he's on youtube! He is a friend of mine, very nice person and most of all- a great dancer!

Once a girl'll look into his eyes- she'll do everything to see him again... ;)

I have good news for those who want to see him: he usually teaches during AHLAN WA SAHLAN festival in Cairo.

  • I remember when he was only 14yrs old dancing and playing with Mahamed Murad's band when they played for the Ghawazee sisters Khiriya and Raja. He's a great dancer and a real character!

  • Thanks a lot for the information. I've seen them in one of Ahlan wa Sahlan videos. They're beautiful. Good to know it's her. What a pity she's retired. Is there other dancers from this tradition on scene now?

  • Great. What's the name of the raqsa in red?

  • That is Khiriya Mazin of the ?Banat Mazin Ghawazee. Unfortunately she's retired and she sold all her costumes. You should have seen her when she danced with her sister in full regalia. It was truely breath taking!

  • I want to dance with him too :)

  • This looks like Aunt Rocky's tour group.

  • great dancing!
