Really, all they need to do is make monarchy NOT based on beauty. Though the stupid "incest bloodline" thing doesn't work too well either. Lines like:

"The queen accidentally fell off a cliff!" and "The couple moved into the queen's castle, and did a whole bunch of aggressive redecorating!" are what makes this SO much better than the stupid disney crap.
