Fred is surging at a very good time for his campaign if he did it during the states that were already leaning towards other candidates it would be hard to maintain momentum... waiting until now in what amounts to his kind of stomping grounds for a big push might just be political genius.
Don't let anyone tell you who to vote for. Thompson is a viable candidate.
