I have no problem with whatever technique as long as it doesn't suck. Each player has his/her own style. I'm left handed but play right handed. If you're going to be serious about it don't sit on the freakin bed though.

No I never sucked so much at drums! When I had no idea, I didn't even get close to a drumset. After my first lesson I was already better than this guy! If you are so bad, try just to do the basics until you get better, don't try to play things much harder than you even can think of!
