@sivamuni54 There is no self-betterment or anything like. Invader eclipses over the invaded. so are Dravidan ppl invaded by Brahmin aryans from north-west. This silly caste system were invented by invaders to subjacate the invaded for long long time..streaching through generation. A dalit/ sudra just cleans the toilet of higher caste and his children do the same and their children do the same.. this evil was even religiously attested by brahmins. no hope orginals dravidans lived for millenium
@hynixx The aryan invasion theory was totally made up by the britsh to break indians and that they have clearly achieved... The theory was made up by a german scholar named Max Muler who was appointed by the british empire to read and learn about the vedas. The idea was to make us believe that our values and traditions have barbaric traits which make us think that their culture is far better than us, by making us believe that dravidians were chased to south, they have created a major divide...
@hynixx The theory is pure evil and was devised with one aim, divide and conquer .. 6 decades after independence, we still haven't stopped fighting amongst each other.. and why ? this stupid theory .. Did you know that the aryan invasion theory made Hitler believe in the concept of aryan supremacy and thus led to the jewish genocide. If dravidian culture is different, why are there striking similarities between north and south indian cultures, like wearing sarees, saying namaste/vanakkam
Hinduism does not have strict set of rules of dos donts Of course its based on choice of freedom! Even atheism is accepted in Hinduism! Remember India is land of Kama sutra! So there are no bars for Queers, lesbians! All are welcome! You need to do lots of reading about Hinduism! Since there is no one spiritual leader in Hinduism and so there is no authority on Hinduism! @sivamuni54 so called hinduism is term given by persians for ppl who live around Indus. Just because you don't understand half the things he talks about or his theories or his understanding of history does not make him super nutcase rather it shows how ignorant/unintelligent you are.
Beliving in a God is what has brought the Insanity for ..let me guess buddy..more than billion time. you never hear Atheists trying to create caste system and opress masses of ppl, blow themselves up in name of God. Do you?. God is the first problem. The problem which created the God problem is called Death. confused humans thought what are we gonna be after death?. The first confusion which created a greater confusion called GOD.
Caste systems have nothing to do with religion. They have to do with delineation of tasks among people. It so happens that a group of religious people were educated enough to manipulate social trends in their favour. As for this issue of religion being the sole cause of conflict, I call bullshit. Time and time again, it is seen the pursuit of land and resources as well as political gain is the impetus for war and terrorism.
Exactly!! for ones you have made sense, but only in parts i am afraid.. see wars are waged to gain money and wealth, no doubt. but the point is, you dont do it in the name of money.. you do it in the name of god.. and apart from that, if you read some history, you will see that no war is ever made without the green signal from the religious priests.. so religion is only a means to achieve more wealth, for a wealthy few.. i dont think the great god can eradicate poverty.. so for poor its useless
Uhhhh...PLENTY of wars have been waged without the express content of a religious authority. Conquerors sought the blessing of religious leaders and prayed before heading out, but do you honestly think they would have stopped dead in their tracks if a priest told them not to?
caste system has everything to do with religion..its brhamic religionists who made Afriod-looking..Flat nosed, dark skined ppl into lower caste and Aryan look alike into Higher castes.. defined beauty with how lighter your skin are. i agree that almighty Dollor is more powerful than allah or jesus or Buddha. But i dont agree with religion. It is was/is/will be a Tool to control masses either with bible or quran or vedas..it is same- A control Manual.
@hynixx That's not what a caste is. Certainly, Brahmins abused their power, being as they were of the priestly caste and were able to exploit people, but the abuse was based on their vocation, and not their skin colour. Everyone on my father's side of the family is dark-skinned, and we are middle-class Brahmins. If you want to make an argument, root it in logic, not blind sentiment.
please there is no blind sentiments here.. this is factual i want to ask you even do you belive in Dravidan culture, which is today still alive after 300 years of onsluaght..Its not about skin color..which depends upon how closer to equator you live. but dravidan culture which is apart from north indian culture, yet far rich..is still looked down upon by makers of religion. I wonder ehy preistly jobs were given to certain race/caste and inferior jobs were given to inherently dravidian race?think
Considering I was born and raised in Madras, and am well-versed in Indian history, I would think so. There is no need to 'believe' in something that you can see before your eyes. What you seem to be thoroughly unaware of is the level to which the tables have turned. Brahmins are beaten to death and humiliated even though they had nothing to do with what the priestly class did centuries ago.
its the other way round actually.. people who destroy Mosques and people who killed scientists in ancient Rome where all religious and their actions where all justified by religion.. i dont know what you call it but i call it insanity.. even in contemporary times people like Bush use god to justify their wars..
People killed scientists in ancient Rome? Citation needed. Anyway, using religion as a justification for one's actions doesn't imply an issue with religion, it implies an issue with people. Theism and religion are things that bind a lot of people together, and people who dislike social situations use that to their advantage to rally people together. Besides, are you guys forgetting that Josef Stalin and Pol Pot were atheists?
citation needed? strange!! see there was a man named Copernicus and was killed.. you know for what? for saying earth is round and sun is the center of the solar system.. Darwin has a story too.. lucky he was not killed.. the world of his time was luckily much evolved.. artists were strictly kept under check.. caravagio's story would be a nice example.. Galilee was an other scientist who had troubles with the church.. plenty more come to my mind.. try doing a search..
lol, are you serious?! Copernicus didn't live in Ancient Rome and he certainly wasn't Roman, he was Polish. AND HE WAS A PRIEST. He lived a long, fruitful life, and his findings elicited little, if any, controversy. As for Galileo did get killed, yes, but this was primarily because his arguments regarding heliocentrism cited and attacked particular works of scripture. This was regarded as heresy.
see you miss the point.. religion is a means only for a very few exploitive rich.. for the rest its no good.. thats why i said god can never kill poverty.. but to preserve this existing social structure religion is used, by keeping the majority ignorant.. so religion becomes reactionary and thats the only reason why i am against it..
This doesn't imply that a belief in God is at fault. Religion and theism are two different things. Further, the amount of charitable work religious organisations (that represent many faiths) do around the world speaks to the fact that individuals are at fault, and not the belief system itself.
i am not saying atheists are good and religious people are bad.. all i am saying is religion is exploitive.. individuals who are atheists can very well be exploitive, but not atheism itself..
if you believe in god and everything, you should try to mind your language a bit in the future.. i dont think gods going to like it very much.. after all, you must be qualified enough to get a seat in heaven..
the words you use are not very appropriate for a good discussion..
Oh, give me a break. Words are meant to be used, and when people make blanket statements about people, it's a LOT worse than using four-letter words. Being a slanderer legally and morally carries a lot more weight than being a potty mouth.
You all know that Kamal failed to amass big fortune from his cine career why because he's big time spender! also something to do with his past floundering marriage life style! If Kamal had a wife who could able to skimp he's probably richer than Rajani now!
Have you folks seen the hidden footage of Kamal's begging? Well it's happpened pretty long time ago before split up with Sarika! but someone who was clever enough to take shot of it withouth being spotted! espeically by Kamal! location some unknown luxury motel in Toronto, Canada! Kamal was begging at Simran's feet like pathetic loser! kept on asking Simran to let him to her room so he could make up with her or something! he he he I tell you people Kamal is big time spoiled brat!
We Kamal Hassan fans are rational and we dont even in argument bring up unseen or unproven shit. Whereas the Dumbass fans always have to reply on bogus material.
I am hardcore Kamal Hassan fan looks like you are Rajinikanth fan. I never go around and comment any bad things about Rajinikanth in his videos. It may be good if you give the same respect to Kamal Hassan also.
Well! I've seen Kamal always tend to say that he's an "athiest!" or something but even bragging about it especially in media interviews but just look @ the movie he acted in! utter racial-hatred movie! I saw all of Kamal's movie old and latest but he rarely acted in such a movie like this! may be movie's director or producer coereced him into act by taking advantage of his insolvency issue!
People like heroes such as rajinikanth, vijay, and vijaykanth all have one thing in common. That is all of them cannot act and even their wifes dont see any attraction in them.
And there is Kamal Hasan who can act and is very attractive.
Since Rajinikanth has so much money to spend tell him he can get a hair transplant and with the help of hair transplant he will look like a gorilla with hair, now looks like a gorilla without hair.
i just love this song thanks for the song good music pls never ever make this video private i beg u (cause some do so tats why i say this) sorry if i had said anything wrong
the movie was about how a caste is still lagging backwards and not moving on forward whlst at the same time highlighting the proud caste that is thevars like when sivaji says we were first there when bose asked army for freedom. I dont think caste is a bad thing all, it should be celebrated and enjoyed, problem is that people who want to create trouble use caste as a tool and always see it as violence tool.. what a movie
dont compare tirupur and erode with madurai....may be coimbatore is slightly better than madurai..but not only madurai ...except chennai all has to migrate for jobs to chennai and rest of the world...if u go tirupur u shd work in banyan factory adhuku madurai evalavo best..weight u da madurai.........mukkulathor rulz
It is this casteist attitude (vetti perumai) that keeps madurai backward..while towns like Tiruppur, coimbatore and erode are flourishing.....
keep singing praises of your caste even while there are no jobs in "Mukkulathor heartland" like madurai, ramanathapuram etc and the youth have to migrate to rest of Tamilnadu, india and world for jobs and basic needs
Senthilan, I dont see whats wrong with being proud of ones caste or religion or country or language? Being proud of ones heritage doesnt mean the other (caste/language/religion) are being put down.
Being born in a particular caste is no achievement by itself. I hope you will agree that in any caste there are good and bad folks. while there are a lot of achievers (like Bharathiraja) in the caste that you are referring to there are also many many unsavory characters - "Kattai Panchayattu rowdies ", "Metre vatti aasamigal", "Liquor shop barons" etc. who also may belong to this caste.
I agree, There are good and bad people in any country, religion, caste or group of people. There is no point in dwelling on the bad, unsavoury characters. I am sure you feel proud calling your self a Tamilian, just as I do, even though there have been a lot of unsavoury characters in our Tamil community. Its the same with the Thevar caste.
fuc.....off....mind your words...we know how to survive in this world, bcs we face lot of things in the past...we are growing...you wanna example go and search in google about us..
Kamal was talking about this song years ago in Sun TV. The tune was an inspiration from a Hindi song. He was explaining how he expressed his admiration for the Hindi song and Ilayaraja transformed that tune to this classic in a matter of minutes after intense thinking.. We are living in an era where people like Ilayaraja, SIvaji Ganesan, Kamal, Rajinikanth, SPB, S. Janaki, Chitra and others live. Highlty dedicated people.
I am one of the millions of admirers of Ilayaraja and his creations ever since he entered film songs with Annakkili in the 70's when I was in college. I can't prove my statement above since I don't have a clipping of it nor do I care convincing you. All I said was a fact from a TV program I saw years ago. The whole point of such comments is to share the experience with Youtube fans and not beyond that.
if u r not sure abt ur facts dont bother presenting it in a worldwide forum like this.. the song u r taking abt is inji iduppazhagi from the same movie..

In my humble view one can be "proud" when you create something extraordinary or something is of use to a fellow human being.

Correction. That was Inji iduppazahgi inspired by a Hindi song.

fo with ur hindi song.. this is a classic tamil country song.. most hindi songs are anyway rip-offs from arabic and paki ghazal songs..
