heard this song on the radio recently and loved it. i'm recently back from the US and really wanna know more about any other good local bands...either BM or English. any suggestions ppl?
who cares where its from? it totally rocks! i am soooo promoting this vid. thumbs up to who made this vid, and to ahlifiqir for actually rapping in malay! i have waited for this day forever! why rap in matsalleh? pantun melayu kan ada?
Haha. Well said. I personally like the misspelling of whatever. It seems you hate comments more than the country itself. Whenever someone left a comment you were quick to attack. A question though, why do you hate it?
their music is quite strong. and maybe this is consider dissing but i think malaysian hip hop group/duo sounds rather the same don't you think? and quite the posers. its great to have a refreshing sound and whole different look. ahli piqir managed to have that individuality and humbleness essence in their music and image.
Exactly, Effy82. I tried my best to steer away from cliched bling-blings, limos, half-naked women, walking-sticks and what-nots. But instead of putting them in a traditional Malay house (which doesn't exactly reflect where AhliFiqir is coming from anyway) they were placed in an English house to reinforce the 'colonized-mentality' message in the song.
And as for wether they're Malaysians or Singaporeans, it doesn't really matter. When we worked together on the video, we spoke the same language, wore the same clothes, ate the same food and laughed at the same jokes. So, please drop the nationality argument or else I have to remove your comment.
i think this is a cool m.v. great graphics and creative. doesn't conform to the normal m.v. production simplicity at its best. when i first watched it i was quite impressed. for a group that is starting out put conspicuous effort and quality to their work. their music is very avant-garde. the traditional and contemporary sound blended quite well. totally digs ahli piqir.
hello...may i noe who are you referring to the word 'fuck'...they ARE REALLY FROM Singapore...they're Singaporeans...if you don believe me....juz go to their website @ ahlifiqir.com...ok...understand...
ahli fiqir is singaporean...it's juz that the dj is from Medan, Indonesia...they're representing malaysia because most of their videoclips were from malaysia...

The part that I like the most is...
acuh tak acuh,
endah tak endah,
buat lawak bodoh selamba,
biar kita melopong,
biar kita menganga,
biar mereka buat apa mereka suka...
That's cool guys. The best hip hop song to me

cuteboysss 4 years ago
It's all in Malay. The official language of Malaysia. It's not SABA but SABAR (the pronunciation of R is very subtle) and SABAR means be patient.
If I have the time I will post the translation here.
