  • i used to be able to speak, but moving to america @ 6 and not using it anymore seriously gave me a terrible unintelligible accent ;_;

    I cannot get correct tones if saying a very long sentence or in conversation... sometimes i say something which doesn't make sense. Darn!!!

  • I work in a casino with lots of chinese people so i'm wanting to learn mandarin (though alot of the older chinese speak cantonese) but cant learn both at the same time. too hard. lol.   • Finally found something that can help me pronounce X! The Chinese people I talk with can tell I'm pronouncing it slightly wrong but couldn't help me figure out how to fix it. This was really helpful!

  • To be honest with you:

    I don't really hear any difference between "Q" and "X".

    Maybe a gringos ears are not good enough.

    It seems to me that there is a very short "T" -sound in the beginning of the sound of "Q"
