It is a very fun trait to have, it does however have drawbacks. The biggest one being, you can't select the exact things to steal. (So the sim might steal a lamp instead of an expensive car.)

@cfw9 You should upgrade to a 64-bit OS because a 32-bit OS can only utilise a max of 4GB RAM, right now you have 2Gigs of unused RAM. Google 32-bit memory limit.
