As an instructor I don't encourage or condone I just pointed out the error in your posts. This flight is known to the police and AFAIK no action has been taken. So all you self appointed lynchers from the paramotorclub are well out of order calling this pilot rude names and claiming it is breaking the law when clearly the police do not think it is. You all (3 of you) came here to make a lame point because you think you have some stake in the future of paramotoring? Get real, you're irrelevant.
I corrected a misrepresentation of airlaw. If this pilot gets prosecuted it will not be under the 500ft rule because he/she made a landing. Also made three test approaches to that landing. The prosecution would fail at the first hurdle.
How do you make the jump from my stating airlaw to "condoning" and "encouraging" this behaviour?

Now the GOOD ... super flying skills, well controlled top landing (balls of steel etc etc) ...

Watch this video again and perhaps go back and answer their question? Anyone attempting a difficult expedition might find having that skill in their toolbox quite handy.

Also, there are no plans to further regulate the sport by the CAA with the possible exception of registration of instructors and making pilot training mandatory. Landing on top of derelict or abandoned buildings is a matter for the owner's discretion to prosecute and not a matter for the self-appointed paramotor vigilante.
The 500ft rule states that you may not fly closer than 500ft to persons, vehicles or structures except when landing or taking off. This looks like a landing to me ;-) Whether it is a trespass is another matter but lets not mislead by quoting air-laws that are not applicable.

Only takes one sad, publicity hungry idiot like this to make this delightfully free sport legislated against.
One of the few rules is that we must never fly within 500ft of a building. Go find a sport that welcoms idiots (I'd suggest Russian Roulette).

he is flying around in circles over the traffic/buildings, showing off making sure everyone see's him, in a "look at me aint i cool" kind of way
the guy is a bellend for doing it and posting the vid, you are a nob for not discouraging it as an instructor in the sport......!!
