so wut year was this? when did the first gameboy come out? i remember gameboy color, but i don't remember gameboy. and i didn't even get a gameboy til i was 7 i think. that was when the gameboy advance came out! then i got an advance when i was 9. so i was late on everything! except for ps3.
@piplup477 hehe, well then i definantly don't remember gameboy, that was 3 years before i was born! damn, just look how far we've come in just 20 years in the gaming industry.and we're still using cars with technologies from 100 years ago! at least the concepts and the fuel.
@Twixgtx By now I would have thought we'd have flying cars, hover toilets, and maybe even jive talking robot butlers. Oh well, maybe in another 50 years. ;)
@SkaarjSoldier well, by now they have the technology to make all of that, it's just really expensive and requires a lot of space. At least we have floating trains, and tickets to go into space(although they cost like $1,000,000). hahah
@CanadianRanger17 It is David Warner as the voice of the announcer. That's the guy who did Ra's Al Ghul on Batman: The Animated Series, Irenicus on Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn, and Sandar on Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes.
I remember seeing one for kool aid with Samus riding on a school bus...alot weirder than this one, but hey if she was on my school bus I wouldnt mind XD
This commercial is incorrect: In Metroid, all metroids on Zebes were destroyed. In Metroid II, Samus goes to SR388 to kill the remaining Metroids. In other words, no life-sucking Metroid survived the first Metroid adventure.
@Gyanzak Absolutely. Mochtroids were on Super Metroid in Maridia, until you see the new metroids in Tourian only, which were destroyed in the end, as well.
dude.. this game is classic, maybe you're an a**hole that just started playing it on an emulator at 2007, but for those who went through this game on their gameboy since 1992, all think this is a total classic.
yup! I remember I was back in 9th grade sex ed. class when I beat this game in my first generation black and white gameboy, then I went to smoke me some chronic in the bleachers! joy! the memories.your right its a fuckin CLASSIC the only bad part about the original cartrige is that the battery for the memory of the game doesn't work anymore because I think theyre good for ten or so years
totally, back when we were 8 years old and sucked at the original but still loved metroid, this game was THE game everyone was playing on their gameboys during recess, back then this was as good as it got. best game boy game imo.
if you havent seen or heard this already but there is this dude who is remaking the whole game with zero mission style graphics you should check it out if you havent already.
Despite being slightly "linear", it is a huge improvement over the original in almost every aspect and really set the stage for the perfection that is Super Metroid, particularly in terms of control and world design, it all "flows" really well unlike the original.
Why does Zordon give orders to Samus?
