This music is a lot better than Deep Purple.I still like the old Deep Purple sound,but this new style sounds refreshing and joyful.I hope Ritchie keeps moving forward with his music not backward.Nostalgia is for losers with no sense of direction.Blackmore seems to know exactly where he wants to take his music.

People who complain about Ritchie playing such a light style of music often forget the crucial fact that he's ALWAYS had passion for this music. In fact, go back and listen to some of the old songs he wrote: "Soldier of Fortune", and "Rainbow Eyes" for example show he always had this music in him. Not to mention the live solos he's played which often contained elements of renaissance folk thrown in there as far back as 1970.

I love this so much, though the audio syncing is off so much it detracts from the performance.... This is a cover of a song by Swedish group One More Time, which was featured and written by the son of one of the guys in ABBA.... I was surprised when they covered it but I think it's a perfect choice for them. I prefer their originals but throwing in stuff like this occasionally will certainly get no complaint from me!

@jonybeam i met them 4 times over the years. 2 times in private surroundings, after the shows and hotel they were staying, talking for hours, dined with them and they played acoustic stuff for just a handful.

i guarantee you ritchie is the one wearing the pants firmly, when it comes to candice and her mom/manager or whoever is around, he is in full control.

some things may look like he is being controlled, but he actually demands those things to be done. he passionately enjoys BN.
