I admire the many struggles that were endured by the baby boomer generation. We can learn a lot from your wisdom. My father, a baby boomer himself, passed away five years ago. Although I agree with much of what you have said, I am uncertain that Jesus was a pacifist. When Jesus cleared His temple of the merchants and moneychangers (Matthew 21: 10-17, Mark 11: 15-18, Luke 19: 45-48), He overturned their tables and drove them from the temple. He must have used force or the threat of force to drive them away. I suppose that your definition of pacifism may be different than mine. Also, do not forget that the Old Testament is full of violence by the command of God.

Interesting thoughts, Jer. But did not Christ Jesus violently throw the money-changers from the Temple? Not pasifistic. Throughout the world is human trafficing, slavery, gross child labor practices, religious intolerance, leaders funneling foreign aid into their personal accounts and not to their people to whom it is intended to go. Ad nauseum. For America, I wish we had true leaders. Neither party has them. Anyway, Jer, while I agree and disagree with this vid, it is worthy of being watched.

I have never cared what color anyone's skin is or what gender they are when I go vote.
After I watched Obama give his speech from Denver I changed the channel a few times afterward just to see what the commentators where saying. I was a little surprised actually at how many times various news anchors believe they had to remind us what color Obama's skin is as if it should matter.
Very small minded our society. We get small ideas in return.

I am a conservative, I'll get that out now. My biggest concern so far is the increasing racial divide by many that feel if you don't vote Obama, you're a racist.
There is plenty of such ignorance on both sides that have existed long before this election, and will continue long afterwards.
You don't need to be white, or in a hood to be a racist.
People need to get a grip.

My father told that even back in his arch conservative days when he was a Reagan republican. He said he would have never accused his liberal friends of hating America or wanting Russains to win or questioning ones patriotism like its being questioned today.
If you'd gone back ten yrs ago and told me exactly what was going to happen right, I would have said you were nuts.

i always thought that despite our differences we were supposed to stick together as Americans? For one thing I believed that we lived in a country where desent was patriotic, that it was not only our right but our duty to speak out and question our leaders that were not the state! I have actually been seeing that number regularly after a nightmare I had about losing my son. The number 8814 was scribbled on paper and that has stuck with me ever since. But at least once a week I see that number (666) and it bothers the hell out of me. You're not the only one that gets uneasy with it... and I am not even really a Christian! I love your videos, btw. Thank you for your upfront honesty and openness.

Unfortunately, I lack the answers to such questions and I only hope that the inherent character of this great country-and the grace of God-will be enough to carry it through these difficult times. At the moment, little else seems to be working in our favor. I'm not one for conspiracy but I often wonder these days if a covert fascist effort isn't at work against us.
