How very wonderful that New York (or some one at the top) hasn't tried to "modernize" it and make it all interactive by blowing some budget. I love that I can walk into the same Museum my father did in the 1930's and be just as amazed as he was in the days before world war two. There was a mystic, heaven reaching quality to so much of the state archetecture at that time and it's spirit is simply irreplacable.
@TheBronx98 o lol! When i said the the interior was shot in Canada, i meant it as a response to acdc1496. Yes I live in NYC and used to go hear like all the time but my membership expired.
I would spend an entire day in that museum if I could!
I loved going there, when I was about 5 or 6 y-o, my parents would take me to the Museum of Natural History in Ottawa, Canada.... but it wasn't as great as the one in New-York!
And this is only a small fracction of all of the dioramas at the museum there are 2 more bird halls, a reptile hall, 2 more mammal halls, a hall of ocean life and a hall of biodiversity. P.S. the third floor portion of the african mammal hall is worth it. Check it out.
very cool!

I've seen the animal exhibits at the Smithsonian and the Carnegie museums, but these are the most beautiful animal exhibits I've ever seen.
