wat confuses me is a cake? A cake that is actually tougher to beat then a Living Sword (in mushroom kingdom). Well, imagination is always vivid in mario games. And i'm saying that's a good thing! unique....

@FleskhjertaROX Well, I believe the point is to detach players from ideas of the real world and expand expectations of what is possible. If everything in the game was just like the real world, it would be rather boring.
To build onto it, just imagine a computer using 1s and 0s (Offs and Ons, literally) to understand data, however in the normal world we would never consider something to perceived like that. However, because it is consistent, it works. Same with a video game.
