f everyone is sooo good, then challenge him, because he is 14 now and he averages 230 and has a high series of 799, he did that at 13 i dont think anyone of you could handle him, thanks, and btw at the olympic trials in 2008 when he was 11 he placed 323 out of 1100, now with that being said the average age at that tourny is around 19 so you go try to beat him, i bet you cant
ok ok ok people, he started when he was three, thats why he bowls two handed, and for all yo fucks who think its a house shot, its not, ive seen him qualify for the olympic trials when he was 11 averaging 249 for 9 games on the scorpion pattern, i
People need to learn how to hook a ball properly..
And if you are two-handed then throw the ball faster and get more revs... Jesus i am tired of people just wanting hook.
But it's good that this kid is in a PBA league.. I think with the advances in technology and the house patterns bowler have higher egos and think they are the best. When really they suck. Bowling on patterns is a whole different game.
I agree with BowlingTeacher. I am a certified bowling coach. I do not condone the two handed release. The upper torso is twisting in one direction and carrying the weight of the ball while the lower torso is moving in a different direction. The USBC will realize what a mistake they made promoting this style when bowlers half to stop bowling at a young age because of bad backs and pulled tendons.
@pdarksage Juniors want to crank the ball and now alot of them are trying this two hand style because they see those others do it. PBA conditions require accuracy and good stroke. A release like David Ozio's or Brian Voss' is probably the best overall for most conditions. It is a power game without the excessive rotation. Most crankers on tour do not make consistent shows. On the JAT Junior tour in Calif, now there are dozens trying this. Traditional approach should be taught to prevent injuries
@pdarksage Part 2 - In fact, Palermaa can rev the ball one handed as much as a Tommy Jones or Jason Couch. I have seen him. He has the same release. As he gets older, that two hand release will also go away. As bowlers age, back problems will prevent two handed crazy releases like these. WRW II and PDW are very unique bowlers apart from everyone else. WRW = tremendous accuracy on a very high track. PDW is really not a cranker but hooks the ball because of his tremendous side axis high track too.
Kids are being taught the wrong way. This two handed phenomenon will ruin their game as they get older. It opens up to major back problems. You do not need to turn the ball 1000 revs or have high backswings to compete on the tour. Most of the top bowlers are strokers or power strokers or crankers who have straightened up their games. Only Belmo or Osku can master the lanes like this but even they rely on straighter shots on the PBA. Two handed is false hope for most.
I have to give this kid credit hes a great bowler but 10-15 boards of room on a house shot? If he has that much room no wonder why he averages so high.
